What is good depends on your criteria. If its based on top PSLE student then I think South View is better.


Heard South View used rote learning so I heard from my colleague that she decided against South View as it will stifle her child's creativity.

SV is not based on rote learning. If you attend their openhses or go to their site on the programs offered by the schs, you'll c a balance of both academic & non academic eg performing arts, sports etc which really enhances the students creativity. Each year the sch will stage a musical, this yr's just ended last wk.

My boy is in SV and is enjoying his various dance lessons, drama etc which parents are invited to watch. Of course, when exam period comes....there'll be lots of revision paper. I think, the sch really practise...work hard, play hard

I'm sure DLS has lots of their own programs too which develops the potential of their students.

Please tell me about the culture and learning environment at DLS? What CCAs DLS is strong at or what are the interesting ones? I read from the thread that teachers can be fierce, is it happening?

I just registered my DS under Phase 2A2 for P1 next year, so I have very interested to find out anything about the school. DS is looking forward to studying at DLS too.

There is a mix of teacher la. Fierce is not all bad. Overall, DLS is good. There are lots of non-academic activities too. Recently, my DD has the interest of Ukulele as i hear from her that school has hundred of them and they learn during P4 Music.

Not sure if its true but can train for napfa then ha ha.

Do not worry, it's onl;y seven storey high and they will not be make to climb up.

happibbmama, heard that there is only 1 lift and its for the teachers… And only seven storeys… how are they getting the kids up the 7 storey I really dono and its a concern too…

For others, don't need to worry too much about how kids cope with the stairs. Previously, my DD feedback toilet is super rundown. It's good to have new. My girl in upper lever and she told me as upper level is expect to climb high when return to addr. Take it as an exercise for them to be fit.
