Can anyone share their experience with the school whether this few years there is a drop of standard ?

Where can i get the 2011 PSLE result of who the school have fare ?

      Thanks
You may try to call the school or go to it's website to find out. Some schools put up such info on their school website or notice board. Don't just look at 2011 PSLE result. It will be more accurate to base on past 3 years result.

Hi metalsubzero, I think you should become a PV of Rivervale to increase your chance of getting into the school. Base on past years history, if you are accepted by Rivervale, most likely you will get a place in that school. Your chance of getting into Compassvale Pri is good if you are within 1 km, even you are not a PV. I don’t think you get a chance to get into Nan Chiau, which is the most popular school in Sengkang. You have to be within 1 km in order to apply to be a PV. Last resort, join the Hokkien Huay Kuan in order to get into phase 2B, provided your hubby is a Hokkien.

Does anyone know for next year (2013) P1, is it in afternoon session or morning session?

I called the school about 1-2 mths ago and was told it will be in afternoon session…
When I called again last week or so, they said they are not sure now…

Anyone have kids currently studying in this school who have any details to share? Thanks in advanced.

My girl is in P1 now and classes is in the afternoon. Remembered reading a letter that the current expansion renovations will only be completed in mid-2013.

                  Hi Dad_of_2kids,

Yes, i read about the List 4 too on MOE website.
However, under List 2 on the same webpage, it mentioned :-

\"List 2: Primary Schools Operating at Partial Single Session in Academic Year 2012

(Partial single session refers to Primary Three to Primary Six classes being in the morning session while the Primary One and Primary Two classes will be in the afternoon session. There may be slight variations to the above model in some schools.)\"

Compassvale Primary School is on number 13 on the list.

That is why i find it very confusing so i called the school up but they are unable to confirm the school hour for 2013 P1 classes.

                  Hi coralie,
Thank you very much for your update! 😄
I guess I can only check with the school again on the day of registration..

                    Hi Vinlene, good news!

Compassvale Primary Principal announced during their open house last Sat that their academic year 2013 P1 classes will operate in the morning as a single session 😄

Hi all, I just got my ds into cvps. Notice this thread for cvps is quiet. How about spicing it up by sharing info about the school? Any parents can share? How r the school curriculum, teaching staff? I understand cvps will have single session next year. School expected to start 7.45am but they have yet to decide what time to end classes. Heard noth vista have classes till 3.30pm!
