1. Can anyone advise if where can we check the real-time number of applications for 2B? I need to tabulate the probability of getting in NC before deciding if we want to take the chance.

2. I alaso can’t find the past data for no. of applications vs no. of vacancies for P2B for NC. Can anyone help please?

We are also within 1 km from NCPS but looking at the numbers, we have decided not to try our chances. Most of our neighbours with kids entering P1 next year are trying for this school. This year, likely, will be balloting within 1 km again (even for SC).

Perhaps they have to look at how many parent have registered today and to decide whether to try their luck.

Yap agreed. In 2010, NC does not required to ballot within 1 km under phrase 2B.

2. Last year's registration figures. Vaguely remembered that for NC, all within 1km got in. And 14 (outside of 1km radius) balloted for remaining 1 vacancy in phase 2B.

NCPS today already got 65 registration vs 58 vacancies and still 1 more day to go. Definitely have ballot. Heard expected about 100 applications. Now dun know what to do. In a dilemma.

Anyone has any idea which branded schools (accessible to Sengkang) can we try under phase 2C Supp for >2km, with good chances of getting in?


Reason for asking being should I failed to secure a place at Rivervale Pri under Phase 2C (<1km), would like to try for these other branded alternatives a little far away as the other choices are those not-so-sought-after schools which I can just hop in if phase 2C Supp failed.

Won’t those branded schools be ‘over-subscribed’ in phase 2C too?
