      Wow!! I m scared. Do u?

a very clear warning has been issued by P1 Mummy:-
      \"If you cheat...you will be caught!\"
All those applying SCGS < 1km, or any other popular hot school - pls don't play, play with fire !

for all we know, maybe P1 Mummy might possibly also be a staff or spouse of staff who is currently working inside SCGS.

Wow, there’s so much hosility on this chain of SCGS matter.

We are so very desperate to get our girls in this school, but there’s really no need to cross fire here and make this so nasty sounding.
We are all trying our best to do what’s right here and pls don’t lose focus.
The purpose of me asking for an indication for SCGS is to have an idea what the chances are for this year, and not to start this war of words.
Anyway, I think there are seats for appeal and waiting list after this balloting exercise should there be one.
I think all of us should bear in mind that there may probably be mothers (from earlier phases) giving up places to try some other schools and vice versa.
Let us all just pray for places for our gals and end these vicious threats…

        Peace out.

Interesting posts on SCGS. While I am concerned about parents who try to "play cheat" with the home address for P1 registration, I am also equally concerned with the leak of confidential information. One of the posts seems to suggest that one of the SCGS VPs or MOE legal dept will provide such confidential information.

I am forwarding these posts to the school principal and the three vice principals (both pri and sec side) whom I know personally due to my involvement in the school.

There is no point to vent your frustration & warn parents like that as those who want to violate will still violate. They know the rule & consequence well. The rule is spelled out but the control is not well executed. If P1 Mummy is so capable & have well connections then urge MOE & the school to do their stringent checks with immediate effect. These apply to those who need to ballot in P2B now. Don’t have to wait till whether your gal get in or not. You can do something to serve the community & be proud SG citizen who uphold justice well. To be fair & square, this is way long overdue control coz all of us know the rule is vague & many parents change their address when their kids start with the school.

What happen when reality happened as what we discussed. There is no cross fire or nasty sounding here as what you quoted. Also do you think mothers will give up SCGS places ?

You quoted that is no point to vent your frustration...... As you know this is a forum. We share and express our disappointment together and see what we can prepare next.

SCGS is a prestigous school + affliated to Secondary. Many parents are desperate to enrol their daughter in. Still, one need to be honest. If fail to ballot in, is not the end of the world. Can try to sit for entrance proficiency tests.

When can try to sit for entrance proficiency tests?

U have to register yr child under the waitlist.
                      http://www.scgs.edu.sg/content/view/22/25/
and when there is a vacancy the school will alert you and yr girl as to sit for the entry test.

Personally, i know a few mothers who r prepared to pull kids out of "branded" schools cos of various reasons. And what i am trying to say is that there is a chain of reactions after that. Ultimately, we want the best for our gals. But like what my hubby says, we have done our best, there is nothing that we can do for now but to hope for the best.

However, pls bear in mind that we could all be seeing each other when our gals finally get to know one another too next year. So pls just make this an excellent forum page and not to be mocked at by other areas’ parents. Thanx.

Ps: As we move on from this chain, the headcount was at 13 (including p1mummy)
