Before kids arrive, our significant other is half our life. When kids come, our attention is focused on them. It’s so easy to neglect our significant other. I am guilty of that. When time comes when we can enjoy our spouse, it is difficult to re-connect again.

For children we classify them into auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners, does any one know if these learning style con't into teenagers and adulthood, meaning the learning style is permenant so to speak.

I'm exploring, in classroom, it's mostly auditory kind of learning, more so as the level progresses, excluding non-academic and lab-based. So if a child never learn to bridge the gap of his or hers learning style with the delivery stlye of the teacher then when he or she is in sec level and higher, it will be harder to manage?

In primary school maybe for some cases, the tutor is able to customise to a particular learning style. But if the child never learn the skill to adapt it on his or her own then of course during sec school will face the same problem.

I agree that each child has unique talent and potential but also trying to explore other possibilities.

So wondering does the learning style of a child sticks with the child or does it evolve over time as the brain matures?

From my experience, it sticks, but it's not all-or-nothing. With time and training, other ways of learning can be developed to some extent. I am primarily a visual learner, and my husband an auditory learner. That stood us in good stead as kids in school where info is absorbed mostly in those ways. However, we can also learn in other ways although maybe not as efficently. I know school can be harder on kinesthetic learners, but there are ways to use that style even in traditional learning. One of the goals of Pr school should be to teach kids to optimise for their own combination of learning styles, no matter how the info is delivered. My older girl is even more visual than I am but much less auditory, and has to make up in reading and notes what she misses in the classroom; my younger one is auditory and kinesthetic, and will find ways to turn visual info into some kind of spoken or movement-based info so she can learn it more easily.

If teacher spent more time on their students and ensure they absorb as much as they can, why we need to waste extra $ for tuition!
