Yes, there has been balloting for the last 6 yrs under P2C for < 1km.
Yes. Phase 2C unfortunately so expect would need to ballot even if within 1km. Correct?valiant88:
Hi valiant88,
Are you registering this yr?
Therefore, still considering.......any words of wisdom?
If you live < 1 km can monitor the situation. If there's a need for balloting you can decide if you wish to try. If yes, have a back up school in case you are not successful.
The 2 schools that you mentioned, based on historical trends, there are vacancies under P2C supp. But they had experienced balloting for > 2km under P2C supp before. Best to monitor the number of applicants for the 3 schools and make your decision.
All the best.
Thanks. hope for the best too. -

of coz ur post on what u think of HW helps. Just to check with you, for the Before-n-after-school-service in HW itself, u mentioned there is balloting if it is over-subscribed? Is the balloting an annual thing? Or those who are in, will be in for the next 6yrs unless their parents withdraw them? <- asking coz imaging the logistics stress some working parents will have each yr. -

The balloting is for new students who wish to attend the BASC, not for the existing students in the BASC.SAHM_Tan

Good luck to all parents undergoing 2B balloting tomorrow. I’m still feeling amazed as this is like the first time I’m aware of that balloting is required for 2B in HWS.
Parents who fail pls do not despair, but do plan carefully becos 2C HWS is traditionally hot. But in the worst case scenario, no matter, your child will flourish becos of YOU, not becos of whatever school they go in. -

As HW is morning session, so only after-school care. There is limited slots and depending on the space left, they will allow P1 to ballot. If unable to get through the ballot, then will have to get outside after school service. Yes, those who are in will be there for 6 years.SAHM_Tan

Failed balloting 2c yest. heard from principal about waiting list and also transfer during P3. Can anyone share with us how to go abt it?
1. wait list:
a)when shall we register it?immediately or after phase 3 over.Dont think have chance in phase 2c as is 1-2km.
b)via form or need to go down personally?
c)who to follow up with ?
d) any successful case so far?
2.Transfer during P2 before P3
a) again, when to wait list
b) why there is extra vacancy during P3?
Thx for sharing; really "lost" after balloting out
