Meaning balloting for more than 2km rite?
There are only 32 openings for phase 2B.
If all had been taken up by those living within 2km, then there is no balloting for those living outside 2km since there are no more places available for them. -
BigDevil:
Am wondering why those eligible for 2B phase outside 2km cannot have the same privilege as 2B within 2km?zenn74:

Parents take the extra effort to be member or leader or PV as the desired school is not within 2km. If oversubscribed there should be balloting for all in phase 2B.
“2B” should be 1 level higher than the 2c phase – PV & community leader contributed and Church member being Christian family wish to enter mission school.
Those staying within 2km already has the priority at phase 2C, u get what I mean? -
At 2B you are already getting priority as in you are competing against a smaller pool of parents (ie. PV, GRL, etc). Imagine at 2C, you are against the whole estate within 2km of school, which is worst.

Any idea this yr 2b how many are within 1km, 1-2 & more than 2km?

This would be true if all 2Bs were allocated ahead of 2C, but where balloting is required the available spaces are split evenly between 2B and 2C and if you miss out at 2B as a 1-2 or 2km+ PV, you are at the back of the queue again, despite showing 40 - 80 hours of commitment to the school. Not exactly fair, but it's also publicly available info when you sign up.
So... don't allow PVs to enrol who don't stand a good chance in 2B. -
Hi
Anyone knows how many within 1km for phrase 2c?
-
My friend went to register her son this morning and she was told that balloting is highly likely for those within 1km. One of the staff told her 41, another 37 within 1km. In any case, it still exceeded the no. of places.

Any one can advise which will you chose if both within 1-2km.
Queenstown primary
New Town primary
Am not sure academic wise which is better as well.
