there is still a chance for boys going to top 2 classes after p3 as the jtp program starts at p4. Even if the boys did not get into the jtp classes, there is a high ability class.

I dont think there is any thread on the top classes in P3 of SJIJ. The school does not openly ranked the boys or the classes.

Curious to know which are the top 2 classes in SJIJ but I found out that the classes differ each year.

Met up with my DS's form teacher and they do rank all the boys. I was shown his position in class and his overall position for whole P2 standard. With the latter, he told me what the chances are for my DS to be top 2 classes in P3 .

Arghh! And everyone tells me to let my DS relax in P1 and P2. Apparently not. P2 results eventually determines if our boys are good enough to go to the top 2 classes in P3. I happen to think if our DS can do well, I would like him to be in the top 2 classes. Now I have to ensure he studies hard for the next half year to catch up!

Does the P2 requires to stay back in school? Eg. additional class, CCA?
What is the school hours?
Does the school bus sent the boys back if they need to stay back in school? Eg. CCA bus?
Anyone knows the rate of the school bus one-way to Carnhill, one-way to Hougang?

For P2, they are not required to stay back after school. School starts 7.30 to 1.00pm. The school bus does nto send boys boys if they need to stay back. As for the bus rate, you will need to call the bus operator.

One is a Christian and other is catholic school. Single session for all levels.
homeworks are manageable.

This year seem like 2C takeup rate is not as many as previous few years.
or more gals then boys.

I personally do not find the sch very result driven nor academic focus. Interms of CCA, acsj maybe stronger such as in tennis. However, the school also offer a variety of CCA such as bowling, fencing in adding to the usual ones. What are yr boys ’ interest? Not much homework at p1 and 2 level. A good balance at p3 and 4.You may want to read about their josephian program too which starts at p4. Can find info in their website…you may also want to consider the affiliated sec school, ie sji and acsi/acs barker…different cutoff points for entry, slightly different program too.
