        Please help me to solve these two questions :

        1) There are 200 red buttons and 90 green buttons in Box A.
        There are 80 red buttons and 100 green buttons in Box B.
        Find the total number of buttons that must be transferred from Box A to Box B so that 1/2 of the buttons in Box A and 3/5 of the buttons in Box B are red buttons?

        2)On Friday, some identical chairs in a shop were sold at $45 each.
        On Saturday, the price of the chairs were reduced. As a result, the number of chairs sold increased by 50% while the amount of money collected increased by 25%.
        a) Find the price of a chair sold on Saturday.
        b) Find the percentage decrease in the price of a chair sold on Saturday.

        Thank you.

          Hi

          For the first question,the answer is (3)

          A,M and E

          For the second question, the answer is (4)

          Angle ABC ---- 180-18 ----- 162

          Angle ABE ----- 360 -162 – 60 -----138

          Triangle ABE is isosceles.

          Angle AEB ------- (180 – 138)/2 ------ 21

          Best wishes

              Hi

              This question touches on SE.

              You may use MD, UP or use letters of the alphabet to show the variables.

              Due to time constraints, I’ll just provide some pointers using UP.

              At first

              Bag A

              R:G ------ 200:90

              Bag B

              R:G ------ 80:100

              After the transfer

              Bag A

              R:G ------ 1u:1u

              Bag B

              R:G ------ 3p:2p

              1u + 3p ------- 280 (200 + 80)

              1u + 2p ------ 190 (90 + 100)

              1p ------ 90

              After the transfer
              Bag B

              R:G ------ 270:180

              Red ------- 270 – 80 ------ 190

              Green ----- 180 - 100 ------ 80

              Total -------- 270

              Best wishes

                Hi

                You may use MD.

                Draw 2 boxes to show number of chairs sold on Friday.

                To show value, represent each box by 45 units.

                Draw 3 boxes for the number of chairs sold on Saturday.

                Amount collected increased by 25% ------ 112.5

                112.5/3 ------ 37.5 (cost of a chair on Sat)

                % decrease ------- 7.5/45*100% ------- 16.67%

                Best wishes

                        Plank A -> 360 cm (I can't really see clearly)

                        10 equal parts -> 360 cm
                        1 equal part -> 36 cm

                        Between W and X, there are 8 equal parts.
                        8 equal parts -> (36 x 😎 cm = 288 cm

                        Plank B

                        6 equal parts -> 288 cm
                        1 equal part -> 48 cm

                        8 equal parts -> (48 x 😎 cm = 384 cm (Plank B) :imcool:
