Im also deciding between Pei Tong, Qifa or Clementi.
Mummies, how do you make your choice? Registration for 2C next week and Im still aimless of where to enroll my DD… -

Gumibear:
Which school is closest to you? Among these three, I would go with the closest one if within 1 km (assuming DD is SC). Clementi likely to ballot if 1-2 km or beyond; Qifa maybe ballot, but historically only beyond 2 km. Pei Tong has not required balloting in the last few years at all.Im also deciding between Pei Tong, Qifa or Clementi.

As for academic quality, Qifa posts its top 10 PSLE scores on its website...they seem to be consistent with entry into the top 10 secondary schools. I don't have any specific info on Clementi or Pei Tong though. -
how about eunos primary and bendemeer?
bendemeer is within 1km. but a lot of -tive feedback from frens; and also saw there is renovation currently; wonder how teacher manage to teach?
so, now backup will be:
1. geylang methodist
2. stamford (out of 2km)
3. eunos
4. bendemeer
waiting for your valuable thoughts; thx -

Looking at past year statistics, I think you can try Kong Hwa again in 2C as there are seats in 2CS for haig girls (if i have read correctly).
Yah but I think in P2CS, Haig girls will require balloting. Not sure if I can handle 3 rounds of balloting stress. Losing confidence in my balloting luck! -

I read the strategies-phase 2c provided in this website after I failed at KH P2B. http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/strategies-phase-2c
I really thanks the author for his valuable input and decided not to stress myself further and choose Geylang M which is a sure win option at P2C. I also lived within 1 km of Geylang M, it is almost certain for my kid to make it to this school.
I considered myself fortunate to be able to give KH a shot at P2B cause I dont qualify for P2B at any other school near me and also at P2B I can still take the risk to compete for KH i.e. nothing to lose !!. I am of the opinion that it times to get serious at P2C and go for sure win option to avoid another registeration game for P2CS.
Frankly, I was not overly disappointed cause deep inside my heart I would still prefer my kid to grow up in multi-racial school environment instead of a chinese majority school. My kid is currently attending K education with mostly foreign kids. I am extremely pleased with his development and the multi-racial exposure he is getting at such early stage of his life. -

I am contemplating whether should I try for NH (within 1km) or just go for 2nd choice, reason are chances at NH is much much lower and if I failed then I will be competing with those that is unsucessful @ NH in 2nd choice P2CS and high chance these people are within 1km as well. Worst still, a big chunk maybe no vacancy left for P2CS at 2nd choice!
With this year extremely high take up rate, wait and see approach will not really work cos I expect NH and 2nd choice to be heavily subscribed. -
ACSJ <2km or SJIJ <1km?
Which school is better?
Which option has a better chance?
Dilemma! Appreciate yr views and comments.
