NUS law prof in CPIB probe over exchanging grades for sex
-
Zann:
Let's say both teacher and student are still single and since there is a \"conflict of interest\" like this, can they have relationship and married? Will the husband be next time be charged liddat also?
When I was in sec school here, one of my ex teachers actually married one of his former students. But he only wooed her after she graduated. So I think can lar, but when there is still 'conflict of interest', better play it safe lest tongues are wagging. -

I wonder how are they going to prove that the girl indeed did get better grades than she deserved. Are they going to dig out all the papers and asked a team of professors to regrade them independently? Otherwise, if it is not proven, even if there is an intention, there is no actual act.
I think legally,
Once one accepts a bribe, then it is a crime , he doesn't have to deliver his side of the deal. -

These words caught my attention:
\"\"I am known to speak up, amongst other things, on the Singapore legal system. I write in good faith, and with no ill intent.\"
Is he hinting at a different motive?
Maybe the moral of the story changes... :?

That monk and Kong Hee were former RI students...it's a pity they brought disgrace to their school. RI is the most elite boys school...these men are accused of misappropriation of funds.
Back to this case. The law lecturer is defending himself. -
Jennifer:
Why not?1amber:
I'm pretty sure this is not her first attempt to pay for grades in kind. One wonders which other dudes she had seduced in the past...
Please refrain from passing such comments. -

But if he hasn't deliver his side of the deal, it is quite easy to argue that it is not a bribe.WeiHan:

Just post her photo please.
I thought TCS news already posted her photo. I thought I saw it. -
I have encountered another case when the persons that give bribe were not charged. Why is this so? Any legal expert here?
