Way2GO, just a quick question. Does Singapore legal system allows non-compliance during questioning if no lawyer is present? Coz I always see in us shows people can refuse to say anything and ask for lawyer first.Buds, d pair wld hv also been brought in separately for questioning DURING d investigation stage.
Wouldn't be surprised if info fr one is used to extract or cfm info fr d other.
Its one of d techniques used. -
Only in CSI & Criminal Minds (US TV Series), Dream da ge… Correct me if i’m wrong, Way2GO… If having a lawyer present (is mandatory) during investigation, it can only hinder process n progress of cases. Ppl hauled in for questioning can choose to remain mum. A lawyer can advise client on how to best tackle questions in court after being charged.
SG’s judicial system doesn’t have the jury, cause we don’t believe in that kinda justice where any layman can decide a man’s fate, after case is battled out by lawyers whom by clever twist of words can even free the guilty. -

The girl already denied that she bribed the professor.
So the next thing, like what I have already said, they have to prove that she did get better grade because of favour from the prof.
Bribery can come in many clever form. For example, they can say that they are having golf match and betting is involved. The losing bet can then act as a cover for bribery. -
