Question - With the latest update in the MOE website, it appears popular school eg. Nanyang pri, Henry Park pri, ACS (Junior) have good ration(registered vs availability). Can >2km apply? What are the chances? Do I understand correctly that under Phase 2C, anyone can apply? Be it SC, PR, within or not within 1km, outside 2km?

Yes, any SC and PR can apply. However, if a school already knows that there will be balloting for SC within 1 km, for example, they might advise you perhaps not to apply if you are PR, or SC beyond 1 km, because your chances of getting in will be zero. I think that depends on the school it would be prudent to look elsewhere anyway if you are already outside the balloting criteria for the school.

Some schools only accept SC and stay within 1km if oversubscribe. The administrators will advise the parents to try another school.

Help me understand more. Eg. Henry Park, it says in the MOE update that balloting for outside 2km. Does that mean outside 2km applicants will be considered and put thru balloting? If so, that parents of the >2km will stand a chance?

Yes, anyone outside the 2Km can register, but please take note if there are no. of applicants within 1Km register more than the vacancies available. Those 1-2Km and >2Km will not have any chance in the ballot as priority still consider for those within 1Km, follow by 1-2Km and 2Km for SC.

Per MOE webiste, Kheng Cheng has 128 registrations vs 122 vacancies. Does anyone know if this is really the case?

If all are SC, still have to ballot, right? šŸ˜“ šŸ˜“
