This would mean there's enough vacancy for all children.Concise summary of End of Phase 2C (after analyzing MOE published data)
* 95 primary schools oversubscribed
* Rulang Primary in Jurong West is the most over subscribed primary school (600%)
* Hong Kah Primary in Bt Batok recvd the least number of applicant (8)
* Total available vacancies = 19,996
* Total applicants = 16,159
* Total vacancies still available for Phase 2C Supp onwards = 6,040
I simply can't understand why didn't parents who registered at Rulang adopt a different strategy. It's a torture to go through balloting at P2C. Maybe again at P2C supp. -

Thanks for the advices. Aftermath questions for my reference...I stay within 1km of NH but do not qualify for any of the criteria stated in Phase 2B, can i still register? I should have just go for Qifa or Clementi Pri in Phase 2C. Not waste my chances with NH in Phase 2C Supplementary?
Looking at this year's Statistics NH S already oversubscribed at P2C, they will be out of the game in P2C supp. Only Clementi and peitong will be participating in P2Csupp.
If you don't mind taking the risk, you can try NH. It may highly possible your child ends up in none of the school in clementi area..
You may wish to monitor the situation, and register on the last day.... -
Hi parents.
ATS has 3 additional places rolled over from 2A2, so the number of places for 2C now is 23.
My question is that the 3 additional places should be ballot for the unsuccessful applicant in phase 2B rather than transfering the 3 places to phase 2C. Otherwise it will not be fair to the 2B unsuccessful candidate which has did more than the applicant in 2C.
Is my assumption correct?
Thanks -
SMPS 54 SEATS 55 APPLICANTS, sure balloting,

No. Since the extra places were made available only during P2C, they were added to the no. of vacancies in P2C.ATS has 3 additional places rolled over from 2A2, so the number of places for 2C now is 23.

Hmmm.... If that is the case it will not be fair to the 2B unsuccessful candidate which has did more than the applicant in 2C. -

If extra places were given to P2B, who should be given the places? Balloting for P2B was conducted before the start of P2C. Giving the place to one P2B applicant and the other P2B applicant will cry foul.
There is no looking back in the system. It's the rule of the game and you play by the rules. If you really want to blame, blame it on the parents who applied during the earlier phases but only pulled out in P2C and not P2B. -

I asked this question before. Unfortunately, the extra vacancies goes to the pool at whichever point it is made available. This usually parents wants to secure a place 1st, decides to withdraw and register in another school near to home during P2C when the figures look promising.
Unsuccessful Applicants at P2B can do nothing about it. :stompfeet: -

Chij kellock balloting for SC more than 2km?
Yes. Singaporean more than 2km to go for balloting. PR has no chance. -
PhoBIA:
Could you advice if this confirmation letter means the carbon copy of the registration form we filled in during registration or another separate letter from the school?
Yes, you'll get the copy of application with the principal's signature and date of orientation.
TIA.
