2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take

No. Since the extra places were made available only during P2C, they were added to the no. of vacancies in P2C.
I asked this question before. Unfortunately, the extra vacancies goes to the pool at whichever point it is made available. This usually parents wants to secure a place 1st, decides to withdraw and register in another school near to home during P2C when the figures look promising.
Unsuccessful Applicants at P2B can do nothing about it. :stompfeet: -
P66h:
Chij kellock balloting for SC more than 2km?
Yes. Singaporean more than 2km to go for balloting. PR has no chance. -
PhoBIA:
Could you advice if this confirmation letter means the carbon copy of the registration form we filled in during registration or another separate letter from the school?
Yes, you'll get the copy of application with the principal's signature and date of orientation.
TIA.

Well, well.... dun need to get too heat up..... anyway thank you for your reply....If extra places were given to P2B, who should be given the places? Balloting for P2B was conducted before the start of P2C. Giving the place to one P2B applicant and the other P2B applicant will cry foul.
There is no looking back in the system. It's the rule of the game and you play by the rules. If you really want to blame, blame it on the parents who applied during the earlier phases but only pulled out in P2C and not P2B.
Hope you can understand the feeling of the parents that is \"100%SC, 100 sessions of PV, stay within 1km and tat school is the only walking distance school available\" -
dorisp:
Yes, it's the carbon copy. You got your choice school without balloting? :celebrate:Could you advice if this confirmation letter means the carbon copy of the registration form we filled in during registration or another separate letter from the school?

SMPS 54 SEATS 55 APPLICANTS, sure balloting,
Distance priority kicks in. So if you are < 1km, there may not be balloting unless all 55 are under 1 km. :xedfingers: -
CGNG:
Did you put yourself on waiting list? There's still hope.....

let see the results of 2C first, plan to put in waiting list after 2C ballot.... chances of 2C is worst than 2B.... less than 40%.....

Gurus, i have asked about the academic or overall performance differences between Qifa and Clementic. Any advice? Why is Clementi a more popular school? Is it popular cos it is situated near to MRT and malls? Is that the only reason or the overall school program is more vibrant?
Btw, which are the christian schools around? Those non-methodist, non-catholic school? I dont suppose baptist church has any aff to any school in school? -
BaconEgg:
I don't have any data for Clementi Pri but Qifa posts the top 10 PSLE scores on its website -- they are in range for acceptance into the top 10 secondary schools. Qifa is kind of off by itself in West Coast....Clementi Pri is right near the MRT. This year -- for the first time in many years - Qifa filled up before Clementi Pri in 2C, and may actually be balloting for PR. Maybe this shift has something to do with the large number of new condos built in West Coast in the past few years....and the fact that Qifa has only 210 places, whereas Clementi Pri has 240.Gurus, i have asked about the academic or overall performance differences between Qifa and Clementic.
