To be at the podium in olympics, definately needs to train full time. So if anyone has a ds who is a potential medallist, NS is not an issue. We are talking about the most outstanding sportsman who can do Singapore proud at international arena not national sportsmen.
d 2 year NS is definitely a distraction dat breaks a sportsman rhythm n training when one tries to reach d pinnacle of his sports.
For some sports, those 18 -21 age years r critical for further continuous development. -

I am certain if deferment if required, the coaches will write a letter to convince our MINDEF on this short window of opportunity to train an excellent sportsman. I am sure they are moving with times as well...Edureach:
