Parents of PSLE students,


Not sure about your schools this year, but last year, most schools asked for e-dictionaries, paper dictionaries, calculators to be certified by the schools before the actual PSLE. So, if your kid is bringing along a spare one, please ensure these are brought for certification too (else not allowed to bring in).

Also, some schools require that you bring along all your stationaries in transparent pencil case or even ziploc bag. So parents, please make sure you have these ready in case the schools require for it last minute (my kid's school did that to us parents last year). They will also need to bring their student pass daily for PSLE verification, so just make sure they have that all the time.

Finally, for stationaries, make sure bring ball-point pens (not gel pen or fine marker type) and 2B pencils and good big erasers (that will not roll off the table). For Maths, make sure you have extra sets of rulers, protractors and set squares fr your kids. Parents, top up your stationaries stock before the big day to prevent any last minute mad rush.

Yes, my dd school has informed them to put all necessary stationery in a ziplock bag to be used for the coming Prelims and to bring along their student pass too.

My ds will take his PSLE next year. His weaker subjects are English and Chinese. The biggest challenge for me is his bochap attitude. I am worried but he does not seem to care. :mad:

Don’t know why DS hardly ever uses his e-dictionary. But I think ife uses it, he’ll end up wasting more time and probably not finishing his work. Anyone have the same issue?

Tell me about it...
Cannot show our inner feelings...it's worst for the kids as they can see and feel. These 2 months are longer than the earlier months.
My boy uses the e-dictionary for his 作文.

Tomorrow is SHOPPING DAY AT POPULAR for new rulers and protractors.

Maybe what I'm asking have been brought up before. But I didn't scan thru the 200 over pages. Please forgive me if the questions are duplicate.

DS received his timing for oral yday. One to report at 7.15am, the other at 9.15am. Are there any 2011 parents out there that can let me know how are the children being released? As & when they've finished their oral or will they be put at holding area?

DS said maybe they'll be released by batch since there're 2 time slot. Those that reach in the morning, ie 7.15am, maybe will be released at 9.30am. & those report at 9.15am, maybe release at 11.30am.

Also have to make sure the spare ones are those they are used to using. My dd forgot her calculator during one exam and the spare one given to her is another model which she is not used to. She wasted a lot of time figuring out how to use the fraction key etc ... Lesson learnt.

Better to bring the calculator that our child is comfortable using. Time is very precious and we would want to cause them any extra stress or panic during the big day.
