Hi parents, may i know how much do you give to yr dd everyday for school?
-
hi
anyone know the average scores vs national scores for this school as it is not stated on the sch website. thanks. -
Hi mommies
I just want to find out how you feel about this school? Last year I registered under P2C as I live out of 2km and was balloted out. I was devastated! My girl is now in BTPS. I have another younger girl going into P1 next year and she was registered under BTPS too. I realised that this year there are so many vacancies under 2C! There are 20 over places left! I was just wondering if I had made the right choice for my 2nd girl…
How is the school? Am wondering if I should try for 2C Supp… but then again I will be competing against all the non SCs (I think)… -
I think you should stay at BTPS. It’s not a bad school. Less logistic problem for you when both girls are in the same school, so your time and effort can be given to the girls instead.

anyone else here who got into CHIJ OQLP 2013 intake… been trying to read these thread backwards, mostly good reviews about CHIJ OQLP, so apparently a really good choice…
-
our neighbors kids (twin girls) are currently at P3 at CHIJ OQLP-- and i can say that they are really gracious and happy girls… they also love my 6 year old daughter… so glad to know that girls at CHIJ usually maintain strong bonds.

Hi jeanieg,
I was very surprised there were leftover vacancies from phase 2C and understand how you feel. Personally I feel that CHIJ is a good school, plus there's affiliation with St Theresa sec.
You can try to monitor the stituation and see if there's any balloting for SC outside 2km? Then if you manage to enrol, you can waitlist your older gal in CHIJ too.
It would have been my choice too, but the distance was too far for me.jeanieg:

Hi jeanieg,
I have to same dilemma as you. My eldest is a boy in SVPS. I’ve registered my 2006 gal in SVPS. i’m surprised to see the 20 vacancies & thinking withdraw from SV and register there cos I have a 3rd who is a gal too.
But husb refused cos he don’t want a heart attack in case anything goes wrong in Ph2c or 2cSupp and lose a plc in SVPS. Besides, he said he doesn’t want logistics nightmare of 2 kids in diff sch and SVPS is walking distance from our home while IJ OLQP must take sch bus.
I decided to stay at SVPS for my gal.Hope I make the right choice for her. -
I Was also suprised why there is still so many seats left after phrase 2c…
is it that the school standard have dropped or what? is this norm for past 3 years or just for this year? it is so difficult to estimate and judge for next year registration…
