i know.... if you have bad habits, the degree increase faster. With this, slower. For kids, it is difficult for us to monitor good or bad habit, we are not with them all the time. We parents will try to help as far as we can 🙂

Myovision lens: slow down progression( myopic control study shows that eyeball will get elongated to ‘find’ the focus if the images shell projected behind the retina. So myo vision projected the image shell in front of the retinal on the periphersal so the eyeball will not elongated n hence achieve myopia control.

Actually I no longer believe in that - bad habits increases the degree. When I was in pri sch, i ended up needing glasses due to the usual bad habits. No matter how I try, what I eat, my deg just went one direction - up. Post teenage years, i went back my wayward ways - read on bed, read lying down, watch tv, laptop, iPad etc... My deg still go one direction - this time, it went down although slowly. Ever since into adulthood, my deg has reduced 300 per eye. Astigmatism almost gone.

So tell me it is the bad habits, I need some time to convince myself... But I will still instil the good habits in my child :rotflmao: so far he has preserved his perfect eye sight.

I also like Imami.....not sure what causes exactly....
my 2 kids....habits about the same.....younger one started P2 @ 100 degrees & progressed to P5 @ 450 degrees. Older one spends relatively more time on computer games, iphone, xbox etc.....P2 @ 50 degrees until now......

From my personal experience, the period when I experienced growth spurt was the period when my deg rocketed.each year could be as much as 150-200 deg per eye… From late teens onwards, the increase was marginL… Anyone shares the same observation?

my girl has very bad eyes sight condition, now already R650 and L600

who can help me...and she is only 7

Hi sunflower2005, I think your girl also started wearing classes mid year in K1 right? My kids too, just started a month back. My younger one quite high at about 300 deg, but we have started them on the atropine eye drop treatment, once a week. Most eye specialists actually recommend daily use, but the one we are seeing is more conservative, only 1 drop every Friday which we find more acceptable compared to daily use( since no one knows for sure any long term side effects). Genetics aside, I think ultimately need to cut down on their time spent doing near activities like reading, doing work. Not easy for sure but at least need to try.... :rotflmao:

hi sean wife, can pm me your eye specialist name and contact?

Any recommendation of a place for kid's annual eye check-up?

Would not really want to go to optical shop as they have a vested interest to persuade you to change specs.

                        Many thanks 🙂

                        Rgds,
