Quoted from one of the parents interviewed... Must be from KSP...

Did he really manage to get many kids into GEP? His claims can probably be dismissed. And of the ones who trained under him and did get into GEP, who's to say they might have got in on their own abilities anyway? What is quite amazing is that you have someone who apparently has a diploma but managed to convince many parents of the quality of the teachings (even with own books), and managed to get kids into GEP over many years. In one KSP thread, someone mentioned he was apparently the first to start GEP training here.

Not only tens of thousands for tuition but also $$ to outsource projects[/quote]That's a new area Kelvin Ong can get into. Doing homework and projects for GEP kids whose parents don't mind paying big bucks so long as their kids score well. And these parents probably don't mind that he doesn't have credentials because he managed to get their kids into GEP in the first place. Must have after sales service. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Well if the child did get into GEP, I hope the parents aren's spending tens of thousands of dollars giving him tuition to keep up with his GEP class.jtoh:

Many are wondering if Aristocare claims were true.
Maybe some of you would like to stay anonymous, but would appreciate if you could just respond to the poll. No other response required

This episode does reflect the dangers of commercialisation of education. As an individual, I have never trusted any service provider that claims to make my children geniuses, or to get them to succeed with the GEP entry exams. And as for those that advertise their studentsโ success rates, what I would like to see is what the same students were scoring BEFORE getting into the course.
Real educators passionate about teaching will accept the worst students because they can make the biggest difference in their lives. Commercially-oriented educators will choose the best students because it allows them to achieve the "best results" without too much effort. -
I thought all the false claims made by him have been removed? But they could still be found in other websites such as these:
http://www.streetdirectory.com/classifieds/singapore/lesson_and_instruction/children_enrichment_programmes/gifted_education_program_by_kelvin_ong
http://sg.88db.com/q-%22Gifted+Education+Programme%22/1/
Shouldn't he remove the false information from all these websites as well.
One lesson I have learnt from this episode: Always verify the qualifications of the tutor by insisting to see documentary proofs before enrolling into the programme.
Who knows.. maybe Kelvin Ong is just one of the unlucky ones being caught. -
Kelvin Ong said the case was closed. How can it be closed before he is punished for his wrongdoing?
