      mummy so kiasu:
      alng:

Aren't ink pens same as gel pens? So gel pens are allowed in PSLE.

My boy's teacher only mentioned about correction tape & nothing about gel pen. It is true that kids are very picky when come to pen. Not like our times, we just used any pen.

From what I understand from my DD, her tuition teacher is a PSLE marker.
She told her ball point pen used correction tape to correct after a while the bottom wording will appear, we did an experiment 1 month later the word below appeared (brand of pen can't remember).
Ink pen will not have the problem, experiment done on uniball 0.38. We even test on whether the pen is waterproof- result was good).
The teacher said Correction tape use is ok but you must make sure the tape is of good quality those don't peel up easily. Try toyo not bad.
      Hope all the above help

Alamak, don't tease me lah....I was stressed out suddenly yesterday :imdrowning:

Checked with son last night...calculators using the normal alkaline battery AA...the e-dictionary uses AAA. That is better than coin battery.
More concerned with his Oral next week.

I'm also reminding myself that...don't stress.
该教 already done. Now is to work on the mistakes made during prelim oral and NOT repeat it. When this whole episode is over, I will look back and laugh at myself...why so kancheong? Definitely will survive and still have LONG way more to go.

                underthesea:
Just like to check, does your child's teacher go through the prelim oral with the class? DD's English teacher didn't! I thought it's important to let the child know what he/she has done wrong?

underthesea, both language teachers did that to my DS class. Or should I said, both scolded the class for not performing well in prelim. 😓
They highlighted the mistake of each kid in class, telling them not to repeat them.
One of the funny one is that one of the prelim teachers commented that one of his classmate voice is too hoarse, not clear. His classmate was like 🤷 🤷 , \"what to do, I'm born with this voice\".

                  [quote=\"janet_lee88\"]Gotta do a checklist:

                  *Protractor [CHECKED]
                  *2B pencils for OAS. [CHECKED]
                  *Set squares
                  *Calculator batteries
                  *E-dictionary batteries
*Get that new pair of glasses asap.
                  *Student card [WITH ME]
Anything else left out...gosh, no different from P1 registration.

Aiyo, mummy Janet ... You forgot all about the blue / black ball point pens that we have been talking about ! 😆

Aiyoyo, Fightingmum, mummy Janet forgot a lot more than that  .....she missed out the eraser (without this how to erase wrong OAS answers? :slapshead: ), ruler (definitely need for Maths :nailbite: ), highlighter (if your kid need for compre), correction tape (if your kid need and you allow), ziploc bag (to keep all the stationaries), and last but most important, the kid himself :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:[/quote]Thks Pen88n, fightingmom & janet_lee88 for the checklist, esp janet_lee88, despite being so stress...... still manage to prepare the checklist. 😄

Thanks for your reply. I am getting frustrated with DD's school teachers, gave mock test but never go through, the class doesn't even know the score. Expect them to brief the class after prelim oral, nothing happened also. This week is gone with the national day celebration and holidays! Prelims starts next Monday!! Aiyoyo....

Janet, don't stress yourself unnecessary. :snuggles: After the whole PSLE episode and you look back, you will see that it is not that bad and no big deal afterall - it is only a part of the education journey! :hugs:

Psle oral is next week. Has your dc come back with the timing & which day for EL or MT? Ds tuitor's dd alrdy gotten hers fr her sch.

I only know his CL Oral is on 1st day, EL on 2nd day.

For those who are in the 2nd session of a day, when are they suppose to report to school? Can only wear school uniform and no PE attire right?
