      Hi Caroline,

I totally agree. This SC priority should have implemented since day 1. The system should be refined further ie SC first for Phase 1 to Phase 2C then comes PR. Being near the school really helps.
If the priority for SCs was implemented last year, my child would have entered DLS in P2c without us going thru all the balloting stress for a sch >2km away. What a whole lot of difference the new rule makes! And a difference of only 1 year! It's God's will..
Agree that it really helps SCs if priority for SCs in P1 to P2c is implemented too. I guess policy changes tend to be gradual, one at a time, so let's see what happens next year.

Sorry, you did not get your child in 4 years ago. How about transferring him into DLS this year? Its never too late to get a catholic education.

Thanks for sharing your personal experience.
May I know what are the new facilities built during your period?
Is Mrs Jenny Yeo fundamental in implementing the drilling style of learning in the school and what are the HOD's beliefs? I'm trying to understand the direction that the school is taking in the process that the principal change is inevitable. tx.

The arts hub + the air conditioned hall + the tennis courts are some things I can remember. All these were built within a year or 2 I think. Usage for these facilities are high, justifying the costs. But the school is still really small, doubt it can expand especially when space needed for single sessions soon enough.

Mrs Jenny Yeo brought these changes I think. I am not really sure what happens behind the scenes, but if she picked the teachers to teach top classes, she was extremely smart in a choice as they were really the best teachers, but now most, if not all have left except the current Chinese HOD. SV is really faltering in my honest opinion, it has reached its maximum potential. Hoped this helps 😃

                        Hi maguiremalcolm,

Sorry to hear that. Actually, where are you staying?
My opinion is for you to try Concord or Unity first as these are better schools compared to Teck Whye & Kranji.

                        Hope this helps.
