Hi
My son will be starting P1 in 2013, and I am wondering if there is any after school care centre in or near SJIJ?
Can anyone advise? Thanks!
Just incase the school move back to their homeground.
Here is the nearest of all.

Hi,
Parents of SJI boys, i am interested in the school and wish to find out more. Is the school single-sessions? Does it have lots of homeworks assigned for the kids? As i am staying near to SJI & ACSJ, hence i wish to know more about the differences and which is more suitable for my boys. Appreciate lots for your help! -

One is a Christian and other is catholic school. Single session for all levels.
homeworks are manageable.
This year seem like 2C takeup rate is not as many as previous few years.
or more gals then boys. -
Hi HTCBlue,
Thanks for your reply!
May i know is it very academic-focus and result driven kind of teaching? How about the CCAs? Are there a wide varieties? Thanks!

Hi
I personally do not find the sch very result driven nor academic focus. Interms of CCA, acsj maybe stronger such as in tennis. However, the school also offer a variety of CCA such as bowling, fencing in adding to the usual ones. What are yr boys ’ interest? Not much homework at p1 and 2 level. A good balance at p3 and 4.You may want to read about their josephian program too which starts at p4. Can find info in their website…you may also want to consider the affiliated sec school, ie sji and acsi/acs barker…different cutoff points for entry, slightly different program too. -
Hi…anyone knows when the P1 orientation will be?

My son is currently in SJI Junior and I have a daughter going to P1 in 2014. Does anyone know if SJI Junior is affiliated to any girl’s school?

Hi all,
I am thinking of sending my DS to a boys' sch and would really apprec if parents whose DS'es are in SJIJ could advise if the sch approaches its method of instruction differently, on the premise that boys learn differently from girls?

Hi Dynamite
SJIJ is not affiliated to any girl's school. If you are staying near SJIJ, I will advise to try for St Margaret, or if you want Catholic schools, try for CHIJ Toa Payoh or Marymount.

Hi all
My DS will be starting Pri 1 next year. Will there be any e-learning or activities which will require him to have an iPad or tablet? Or will any laptop or PC suffice? We currently own a MacBook only and wonder whether this will be ok as we do not want to be caught off-guard at the last minute…
Thanks in advance for your advice!
