hi patlsy79
Hi Nite,
I am in the same boat as you. My gals (paisei i need 2 vacancies cos twins :P) also due for P1 reg next year for 2014 intake. Piggy year, many children were born due to Golden Piggy year? I am living in Holland, directly opp Holland V, pretty near to Fairfield & HPPS. Both sch are within my area but, looking at this year results, dont think I can 'grab' a seat from them no matter 2B or 2C. Cos to Farfield my distance is 1.4km & HPPS 1.5km. I am not able to go for balloting under 2C either cos this yr 2c needs balloting for all under 1km only. Really hopeless here...how ah? sigh.....this system really
sucks. From now 2012 Aug, I got to be very stressed over this until next yr July for registration Sigh !!
looks like your location distance neither here nor there. for ur twin dd'es suggest niche plays like St Margaret's at 2C. This year 53 SCs staying >2km ballot for 52 places. Am also a twin parent, but they're Moo Moo Cows

I just could not sleep last night. My dd got balloted out at phrase 2 c yesterday. It is very disheartening as we have been planning for last years and move closer to the school to at least has a chance to ballot. I keep telling myself that it is fated and I have to move on and see it as a fate and accept it. But it actually does not help at all. I have been crying and really not sure how long it will take me to accept this.

Sorry to hear that. :hugs:
What is your backup school? Look forward and prepare for P2CS registration. Don't think back. You have already done what you could for your girl. Who knows, it may be a blessing in disguise. You girl will like the school that you eventually get for her. Cheer up!

Andychng, thanks for your effort in putting up the figures. It will be useful for those parents under 2CsI have attended ballots in Phase 2C twice (2005 n 2012).
Knew the heartache n the troubles faced by the Phase 2C supp or 3C parents...

Hugs. i've been balloted out too despite living within 1km for over 10 years and doing extensive research on past statistics. it's been hard as the news sink in, and it's going to get more painful since there are a lot of kids in my neighbourhood who are students of our favoured school or bound there next year, whom we will be seeing day-in day-out. my only advice is, give ourselves some time to get over this, then gear up for the P2CS registration next week. hopefully it may be easier to put this behind and move on once we confirm a place in a new school cos it gives us something to focus on. Praying for a smoother journey for P2CS parents (including myself) next week. Good Luck everyone. -
