            Hi

Anyone knows how to book accommodation at Leo Foo village. Is it worth the price to stay one night there?

              Hi,

How do you pack if you need to travel from county to county?
Can the bus accomodate big luggage?

                    Hi All

Next weekend is the NATAS Travel Fair. As I’m planning for a family trip to Taiwan from 25 Nov to 30 Nov 2012. I would appreciate your advice about Taiwan.

                    (1) I hear from my friend that visiting Taiwan over the above period is not recommended as there is many raining days. thus this could upset our trip. Is that true as I never been to Taiwan before? What is the weather and temperature like during that period, is it really the raining season for Taiwan?

                    (2) My friends discourage us from getting around the entire Taiwan as that would be too rush for us if we join tour. Their advise is to go for taipei and gaoxiong will do. Any interesting place to take note for this two tourism place?

                    (3) Lastly, any good travel agent to recommend during the NATAS Travel Fair?

                    appreciate your advice on it.

                    thanks.

Went Taiwan during Nov a few years ago in 2009.

Weather was OK , not too cold.

I know Taiwan will have a number of Typhoos during July/Aug/Sept…
                      So better avoid this period…

When I was planning the family Taiwan Trip, I was very worry about their frequent earthquake…

So when you are there be always on alert , specially during the nite, always know where to run…

Singapore do not have this kind of disaster…

Yes , Taiwan is big…if you plan to visit a few states it would be quite rushing…

But First Time , Taipei is a must …5 days just to cover Taipei should be good enough…

                      Happy Holiday…

Last year, we did a mini family trip to Taiwan (around 13 of us). We joined Chan brothers and went on all round Taiwan tour. Can't remember if it was 7-8 days. It was during end Nov/ early Dec period. Weather was nice and cool. However it was raining heavily in Taipei (first and last stop). We managed to do wufenpu? for the cheap clothes. It was freezing cold especially the last day of our tour. Other than that, we didn't get heavy downpour in the other areas.

We went to Taroko Gorge, stayed in a hot spring hotel which we had our in room hot spring (beautiful place), did sun moon lake, jiufen, liufu village, taipei. It was simply all round. We experienced the train, coach, ship during the tour. Meals was mostly provided which got alittle bored after awhile as with those seasonal veg...every meal look similar after a while.

We booked with Chan brothers during their fair. But heard that Hong Thai could be a good choice as well and their prices is cheaper. Do explore Asa as well. The fruits during that season was fabulous.... their guava is sooo sweet. Custard apple was good too.

Looking at our itinerary back then looks touch and go. Yes, we change hotel almost everyday except the last day which we stayed in taipei for 2 days. But overall, we found the coverage quite manageable and ok. We enjoyed ourselves. FYI, we had a K2, P3, P4, 2 teenage girls, 4 senior citizens from our family.
