      Hi,

      Let me try.

The Bake Sale was held indoors lest it should rain.
      Thanks. The answer given is

The Bake Sale was held indoors lest it rained. ( should it be \"rain\")? I am totally confused by \"lest\".

        The given answer is incorrect.

        It should be:

The Bake Sale was held indoors lest it rain.

After \"lest\", an infinitive without \"to\" should be used.

I think the focus here is ‘difference’ not the ‘marks of the twins’ so ans 1 is correct. In addition, the qn used ‘is’. (Can be a clue)

I would suppose it’s answer 2, because there are 2 subjects at the beginning of the sentence. Not sure though.

Need help, in answering comprehension, if quoting a sentence, do we need to put a full stop within the quote n after the quote.

                    Thanks
