fortunately I am not going through HK tonight
Gosh ! Reading your post , I alreadyverykiasu2010:
once I was boarding a flight at HK bound for Singapore
was watching a flight taking off and wondering why the pilot make the plane sway left and right while climbing away from the runway .......
when our turn came for the take off run, then we realised it ...... it was blown by the typhoon causing it to sway left and right while climbing away from the runway
that was an unforgettable flight because there were no inflight service due to the turbulence for the first two hours of the flight, watching from the inflight screen on flight path, the aircraft could suddenly drop 50 metres or 100 metres .... lots of children crying and adults creaming !!!
then there was another flight which took 4.5 hours to reach singapore instead of the usual 3.5 hours as the pilot took the trouble to fly around the typhoon zone ....
of course there was the infamous unfortunate accident of the pilot rushing to take off to avoid typhoon but ended up in the wrong runway and crashed the plane
:nailbite:
I guess typhoon tend to \"strike\" Early August to September in HK ?

Bus - Newer ones are like buses in SG and people bring loaded trolleys on buses so its managable.
Mini-bus - Tougher but manageable if you park your stroller in front near driver or hold onto it.
Taxi - Most can officially sit 5 adults unless its the newer taxis so can squeeze if you don't mind and the journey is short. -
Going HK next mth too.
Where should i visit with a 6 yr old boy other than Disneyland and Ocean Park?
TIA. -
Qin Terracotta Warriors Exhibition Hong Kong Museum of History
26 Jul 2012
Wondering what to do with yourself, or the family on these long, hot rainy Hong Kong days? If you are bored of traipsing around soulless shopping centres or cringe at the idea that Sunday brunch is the highlight of your weekend, then you are in for a treat if you head over to Tsim Sha Tsui to the Hong Kong Museum of History. From July 25th to November 26th Hong Kong will host a formidable terracotta warriors exhibition called “The Majesty of All Under Heaven: The Eternal Realm of China’s First Emperor” and it’s set to be the best exhibition in Hong Kong this year.
