        Hi sweet mango,
Popular will have a 20% discount in late Nov/Dec for assessment books. As for textbooks, you enjoy 5%. Can save a little, but still have to buy exercise books, files, uniforms and certain titles not allowed for sale at popular. Why not get all from school for P1?

Ok I found it in HW website. Does it mean we have to reach school preferably 12:20-12:30? And the child/school bus will leave at 6:30?

          Thanks for help.

Janet thanks. Ok will get them later in school!

I am not a very hands on parent hence I only know about Pei Hwa Chinese steaming in primary 1 last month. May I know if this is true? Do they test and stream the kids in may or November? And what does it mean by Chinese streaming? Top 5-10% goes to best class and so on and so forth?

DS recently came back with English Practice paper where he did his comprehension correction and apparently he copied some model answers from his eng T.

When i looked at the qns…that had "…why…" I was surprised to see that the model answer no longer require "…because…"…
Eg Why do u think Mr. Tan had to feel his way to the kitchen?
model ans: It was pitch dark.

I sent an email to T for confirmation on whether if this is in alignment with MOE guideline for comprehension and the answer was yes.

I would like to check with the other P2 parents and also higher primary parents…is this same understanding u have?

I asked my friend whose dd is currently in P2 RGPS, but she said RGPS still answer with "…because…" leh…so now I’m confused.

              thanx

The answer can be "It is/was because…" or simply just write the answer, omitting "because". Do not answer with Because as it is grammatically incorrect.

At upper Pri levels and Secondary levels, "because" is not necessary at all.

Hi parents, can I ask how are the new students being organised into P1 classes? Is it like all those phase 2A first 6 classes, then phase 2B and 2C students into another class etc. Is it by phase or random?

I know \"because\" is not required for Sec levels. Unsure about Pri.

By phase. First 6 classes will be mainly applicants from phase 1 with the exceptions of the last class. 8 from phase 2A will most prob join this 6th class.
