Not much discussion about Bowen secondary school. Any comment? Is it a good school? How about Holy Innocent or Mayflower?

I visited Bowen and had quite a good impression. But hope to hear from parents of current students. Please share.

Bowen Sec is considered as a better neighborhood school. They have a team of dedicated and caring teaching staff. The discipline team is doing a good job in maintaining a positive school tone. Friend did relief teaching for couple of weeks, and commented that the NT kids were so mild and considered harmless as compared to other neighborhood schools that she had taught. Some of the graduating students actually working very hard to achieve 6 A1s in O level.

FYI, Bowen sec has students who are lawyers and doctors.

Can anyone advice if Bowen is still a good Neighbourhood school?

              Are the students well disciplined?
              Teachers caring?

Did you go for the open house held last week? You were asking if the school is STILL a good neighborhood school, what are your concerns?

My son will be in the NA stream, so I have intention of choosing Bowen as it looks like one of the better Neighbourhood schools. My concerns are if they allocate good resources to support the NA classes, if opportunities are given to the NA students to excel, instead of having their main focus on the Express classes.

You may want to speak to the school leaders to find out more. It seems that Bowen is an inclusive environment and the non-express students have ample opportunities to shine. If I am not wrong, the current vice-president of Bowen Student Council is a NT student.
