Vevey:
Isn't there another student care near Anchorgreen pri?

      mummy so kiasu:
Hi Mummsy so kiasu,
I called and was told that most likely after second half of the year will be single session so first half still afternoon session for P1. As for plans for in house student care, there are no plans yet. I thought I saw some presentation slides on their upgrading works and only recall seeing additional classrooms and teacher area and 2 more foodstalls, etc, dont think there was anything mentioned on in-house student care centre. Keeping my fingers crossed they will provide cos its so much more convenient and better for the children to be within the same premises.

I had received survey forms from the schooon regarding in house child care centre for the past few years. Maybe the respond was not too good & they dropped the idea. It will be more convenient for the parents if there is one.
That one does not bring the kids to NCPS. You still have to arrange own transport to and fro NCPS. Very troublesome. Best is still Polaris. You may try to put your name at Polaris. For year 2011, they actually decided to open 2 classes of P1 due to very strong demand, which they don't do in previous yrs and this year.

If you are within a km, you can still try phase 2c.

You can fill up the waiting list form from the general office.
        Honestly long waiting list.
        Hi,

Do you mean those on the wait list to go nan chiau are only accepted if they are within 1km?

I wonder if anyone knows how many there are on the wait list....

          Hi parents,

I am just wondering if your kids attend Chinese lessons conducted outside NCPS, like tien hsia, etc? Cos the sign up for next year's places for some centres are usually ard Oct so wanted to check out some centres first before deciding if need to put my DDs going P1 next year. If possible, might sign up to go for this year's last term (some start in Sep) for her to start earlier.

Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.
Hi skmum, I hv enrolled my dd1 who is P1 this yr in Beijing Language. So far my dd1 enjoyed their lesson.

            Hi,

Any parents whoโ€™s child was enrolled in nan chiau by waitlist/transfer? Would you mind sharing how long was the wait? Is there anything I can do to increase my chances to be transferred?

            Many many thanks!

Polaris is the nearest and they do have teachers to bring the children back after CCA in the afternoon. No need pay extra to take school bus.

                    Dear mummies,

Would it be easier for a child to get a transfer to Nan Chiau if previous school under Hokkien Huay Kuan?

my girl got band 2 for her chinese and i nearly fainted. For english just manage to hit band 1 but definitely need to work on these 2. June is a good time to revise and work on her weak areas. Have emailed her FT to ask her where is her weak areas for English as in whether in show and tell or daily work but no reply from teacher leh. I told my girl that she needs to do an hour of revision each for both english and Chinese to brush up her work. As she got full marks for her maths, i told her just need to do an hour every 3 days for her maths revision. I feel no matter how good they are good, still need to practice cos in in chinese saying ไธ่ฟ›ๅˆ™้€€
:yikes: yr girl has full mark in her math. That's not easily. I heard from my girl that some of her classmates failed either 1 or 2 math papers. Do u send yr girl for any math tuition? If not, she is really very smart as math is not so straight forward.
I send my girl for preparatory class for maths and english at K1 plus her childcare also taught P1 stufs for both maths and english. Basically she knows the concepts quite well except for things like more than ,less than etc. Normally i will teach her night time on the concepts which she is weak in but because her foundation is good, so quite easy to teach her. Also her classmates quite a few got full marks, so she is working towards getting full marks too. Weekdays i normally will get her to do a few pages of the maths from assignment books when it comes to test, normally i dun prepare with her, let her be.

She still have maths tution now but her tutition teacher is starting to teach her all the model methods, more like P2 stuffs cos all the P1 stuffs, her teacher has covered everything at K2
