      Fat Mama:
For footwear, is track shoes or converse canvas shoes sufficient or we must buy boots?

Buying winter wear really cost a bomb. :moneyflies: :moneyflies: :moneyflies:
based on experience, better to get boots. but they also have heatpads for toes. get wools socks too.

                Hi applejuz,

I booked dragon valley hotel. This is my first time DIY to korea. No idea how is it? Just try… They said the room and floor got heater should be fine.

                  Hi DJKA,

Hmm.. Then I should call them too. Do they speak good english? I scared later 'chicken & duck talk'. Did you book the western bed or ondol?
I heard their ondol was uncomfortable (like our blanket quilts)...but ondol can sleep more pple 😛 Me, too, 1st time DIY. Also need to know if there's any playground for the kids... 🙂

                  Micollh,
Yes, I agree Ibis is quite exp. My room was just 1 doublebed & I booked 4 rooms for my grp. About 216,000 krw/room/night. I can't have twin(2-single bed) as they say each floor only 2 units of twin and separated in 2 far ends.
But this price is free cancellation if inform 24 hrs prior to arrival. So still keeping my options open. 😄

                      micollh,

For day trip & save time, better to book those resort near Seoul. Travel time is within 1hr. From my research, either Yangji Pine or Jisan Forest. Yangji Pine has more facilities & only 40mins drive.
For me, since staying 1N. will choose the bigger ones with better snow quality (i hope). 🙂

                      DKJA,
forgot to ask u the most impt qn, how much is the Dragon Valley Room that you booked? 🙂

                        Hi applejuz,

Ya they speak english and friendly. In fact quite fluent. I booked the western type. True, Ondol can sleep more ppl, my friend took ondol before very nice cos the flooring got heater. But i scare can’t can use to it later scare backache. Rather take bed more comfortable to me. I booked 2 nites think outdoor activities should be more than enough to explore, didn’t check whether got playground or not. Maybe u can ask them. The price is in krw, forgotten what is the amt too many zero can’t get use to it. Have to check. I booked inter-connecting rooms.
