Can anyone help to verify my answer of these following questions:

1.I bakes 18 more fruit cakes than choco cakes. After giving away 35 cakes of each type, the number of choco cakes became 75% of the number of fruit cakes. How many choco cakes is left?
      Answer 81.

      2. If I buy 5 files, I will have $4 left. If I buy9 files, I will need another $5 . How much money do I have ?
      Hi

      1. key concept here is --> same number of each type of cakes was given away, so the difference between the number of cakes will remain the same after the sale.
      Answer is 54 choco cakes.

      2. After buying 5 files, $4 left. To buy 9 files --> buy 4 more files, need another $5, so total of ($4+$5)= $9 needed to buy 4 files... can you continue from here?

      cheers.

Q2. i got the answer is $15.25. sorry forgot to add in the answer.

as for Q1 . i am slight confused.
i gathered that choco has 3 units while fruits has 4 units in the end.
based on the difference , it will be 35-18=17
        17x3=51.
so any part which is wrong?

                Hi, can someone pl help:

At a sports stadium, the ratio of the number of the number of females to the number of males was 5:7. The ratio of the number of girls to the number of women was 2:3. The ratio of the number of boys was 4:5.

                A) what fraction of the people in the sports stadium were girls and boys?
                B) if there were 1512 more men than women, how many people were at the stadium?

                Thanks

number of pupils in each team = 42/(62-48) = 3

                  cheers.

Is it the standard formula for this type of question?
Can I use guess & check method?
