      I need help on this math question. TIA.

      A pet shop has some rabbits and some turtles. 2/9 of the animals are rabbits. There are 30 less rabbits than turtles. How many animals are there in the pet shop?

        7/9 of the animals are turtles. So 7-2 = 5
        5U = 30
        U = 6
        Total U is 9, so 9*6 is 54 animals.

            Why are you having problem with this question :?

            Isn't this just simply a multiplication to get total length of 9 pieces of rope, then subtracting that from original length to get the remaining length??

              I worked and got the answer as 9m. But the answer in book says 5m..the working given as
              15/3=5
              5*2=10
              15-10=5m....so now I am :roll:

                        The working fr the answer key seems to suggest typo error in the question.
