        Good morning concern_mum.

Are you referring to TGPS principal? The current principal Madam Chua just transferred to TGPS two years ago? A few changes have been implemented since she came. Don't think they will change to a new principal so soon again.

Do you let your DD read stories books? It will help in improving learning ability too.

          Hi rejoice,

TGPS thread has become more and more lively with the new mummies around. How I hope I can also join in. ๐Ÿ™‚

          Hi Cmum,

I personally also prefer to read TGPS threads - moms here are warm and friendly. Before the P1 registration, I have read Mayflower, TV etc... network threads quite bored

          Hi mng_kl,

It's true, TGPS mummies are very helpful and willing to share. That's why I like to drop by here. ๐Ÿ™‚

            Cmum,
Come along to join us in the discussion as and when you have the time/chance. We will be happy to hear how different school manage their curriculum, probably can draw out a Good Practise guideline along the way..haha. ๐Ÿ˜‚

            Cheers,
            astee
            Hi Astee,

Thanks for the warm welcome! ๐Ÿ˜„

              HI mng and Cmum,

๐Ÿ˜„ All thanks to all of you for contribution. We may go offline for a while when the kids are busy with term tests or holiday, but we will always come back here. So keep the posts and questions coming.

The P1 to P5 kids have a very long weekend again this week due to PSLE Oral Exam. They are out of school from today till next Monday. But the teachers have given them homework to keep them busy for at least half a day to a day. It is a well deserved break for them and mummies after the term tests. After that, we will all look forward to a one week break in September ๐Ÿ•บ . I also look forward for a long night sleep :boogie: .
              Hi rejoice,

TGPS thread has been active thanks to contributors like Astee and yourself. I believe mummies like mng_kl, beauty79 and ninjago will add on more colours to this thread as time goes by. You can rely on them to keep up the thread when both of you go offline for a while. ๐Ÿ˜‰

                Hi Cmum,

Well said. You can always drop by too to tell us about what happen to your precious one in the new school. I am sure there will be lots of good stories to share too ๐Ÿ˜„

Time sure flies. Very soon term three will be over and year end is just around the corner. Besides putting in the final effort to help DS to get ready for SA2, I think I should start shopping for a hood alarm clock to train both DSs to wake up with the alarm instead of relying this walking alarm.

                  Hi CMUM,

Used to see KCPP distinctive girls' uniform- not pinafore. But recently saw a new version. At first tot was a student leader style but no ties or badges. So the sch is changing to new uniform? U know for boys, no special styles for ages. It just gets from shorts to Bermudas to pants! My criteria was uniform shorts must be dark colours. In fact, was very happy the 3 pri sch choices in my radar all wear black sch shoes ha ha.

                  Hi rejoice,
I used to like to go out on weekends when the SA prep period starts as there are lesser crowd in most places ๐Ÿ™‚ esp like ntuc becomes less queue. Even friends visiting also cut off as the mummies will say their children prep exam. Of cos, there is another group of parents like my bro who stills brings out the family for meal dates. I think I am the former category- ้ฟๅ…ณไฟฎ็‚ผ

                    Hi Ninjago,

I used to be clueless about all the SA and CA tests. When DS was P1, we took them for a short holiday during the PSLE test school break which was suppose to be the time to prepare for SA2 ;-). Got a note from the FT to kindly remind me to revise with my DS instead of holiday. Hahaha. So this year I am wiser. Prepare earlier and enjoy the break as usual.

Wow so the teachers load them with homework during the oral break assuming they are free! But then it is so tempting for holiday break with the extra Monday holiday!

My fren DS in P6 in a competitive sch n top class. Besides going for oral exams, the teachers loaded them with extra extra extra homework. Very realistic - last lap to run so just forfeit whatever holidays!!!

                        Hi Ninjago,

Actually for P1 and P2 life is very relax. DS spent one afternoon at student care on his homework and then he is free after that;-). He did not have any homework during June holiday so I have to find things to occupy his time. Hahaha.

But things will be different for upper primaries. I heard the workload will be increased "appropriately". Hahaha. I just need to be prepared when DS1 goes P3 next year.
