      Hi Astee,

Thank you to you and Rejoice137 for the encouraging words. Do you know when will the learning support program start?

        Hi everyone,

Just for fun, I went for a school visit during June holidays n the Science HOD brought us around the school. He showed us the P1 classrooms n mentioned that not all are on ground level. These classrooms have colourful paintings. He showed us a half classroom n mentioned that the room was for small group teaching when some pupils who are not able to follow their own classes are taken out of their classes to be taught separately. A parent asked n he replied weaker pupils taken out during class time n not after school extra lessons.

          Hi Concern_mum,

I would suggest you check the schedule with the form teacher on the upcoming orientation day as each year, curriculum and schedule is different.

          regards,
          astee

            Hi Concern_mum,

As the school is reviewing the school hour for next year, there will be changes to CCA and remedial classes. So may need to wait a while before we know tithe timing for next year.

For MT classes, the students are separated into different classes based on their ability and progress for the class. My DS has to join students from another class for MT lesson in a different classroom. I find that quite good as he gets to meet up with kids from other classes and expand his social circle too.

Not to worry too much. TGPS has a more relax environment for lower primary school students. They are not stressed by homework or presentation. I am sure your DD will slowly pick up her pace in learning. With your coaching and caring, she will be well taken care off.

                Good morning concern_mum.

Are you referring to TGPS principal? The current principal Madam Chua just transferred to TGPS two years ago? A few changes have been implemented since she came. Don't think they will change to a new principal so soon again.

Do you let your DD read stories books? It will help in improving learning ability too.

                  Hi rejoice,

TGPS thread has become more and more lively with the new mummies around. How I hope I can also join in. πŸ™‚

                  Hi Cmum,

I personally also prefer to read TGPS threads - moms here are warm and friendly. Before the P1 registration, I have read Mayflower, TV etc... network threads quite bored

                  Hi mng_kl,

It's true, TGPS mummies are very helpful and willing to share. That's why I like to drop by here. πŸ™‚

                    Cmum,
Come along to join us in the discussion as and when you have the time/chance. We will be happy to hear how different school manage their curriculum, probably can draw out a Good Practise guideline along the way..haha. πŸ˜‚

                    Cheers,

                      HI mng and Cmum,

πŸ˜„ All thanks to all of you for contribution. We may go offline for a while when the kids are busy with term tests or holiday, but we will always come back here. So keep the posts and questions coming.

The P1 to P5 kids have a very long weekend again this week due to PSLE Oral Exam. They are out of school from today till next Monday. But the teachers have given them homework to keep them busy for at least half a day to a day. It is a well deserved break for them and mummies after the term tests. After that, we will all look forward to a one week break in September πŸ•Ί . I also look forward for a long night sleep :boogie: .
                      Hi rejoice,

TGPS thread has been active thanks to contributors like Astee and yourself. I believe mummies like mng_kl, beauty79 and ninjago will add on more colours to this thread as time goes by. You can rely on them to keep up the thread when both of you go offline for a while. πŸ˜‰

                        Hi Cmum,

Well said. You can always drop by too to tell us about what happen to your precious one in the new school. I am sure there will be lots of good stories to share too πŸ˜„

Time sure flies. Very soon term three will be over and year end is just around the corner. Besides putting in the final effort to help DS to get ready for SA2, I think I should start shopping for a hood alarm clock to train both DSs to wake up with the alarm instead of relying this walking alarm.
