Hi Siau, you bought a normal school bag or those trolley type that he can pull along? I have not bought the bag for him cosโ€™ Iโ€™m undecided. Yup, must prepare the kids now already cosโ€™ I heard (not sure if itโ€™s true or not) that during the first few days of school, the school will make the P1 kids go through a diagnostics test to assess their competency level if Iโ€™m not wrong. any parent heard of this?

school bag - hv not decided what kind to buy. i did ask my siblings/cousins on trolley bags too. they say not all sch allow and also it will be tough for the kids to bring up the stairs.

my time in cedar, was the SUPER old building, they normally put P1 and P2 at ground floor. not sure if they still do that. guess we will know during orientation.

diagnostics test - hv not heard of it also.

school uniform - was there a change in their uniform? girls no longer wear pinafore?

Siau, sorry for my ignorance. is SPI a brand or a type of bag?

Haha... It's ok...it's a brand... Tot will juz name it in case someone might question...(fyi...saw a lot of comments on ergonomic school bags- and this is one of it)
I guess doesn't matter of which brand..as long as it fits d books n your children like it..;))

Hi limcarmel, oh I didnt know that some schools didnt allow trolley bags. Hmmโ€ฆ then Iโ€™ll just buy a normal backpack for DS. Anyone knows if the Popular bags, Popkids is good?

African violet, our orientation is the same. Maybe they only arranged a single session for everyone since the intake is so small this time?

JTS, the recess sessions for the kids are split by sessions. The P1 & P2 will have their recess first at 10am or 10.15, folled by P3 & P4 etc. I happened to be there that time when the kids were having their recess.

No idea when they changed the uniform but I saw the girls no more wearing pinafore when i was there for the registration excercise.

                        Hi rojakz,
You could be right. I guess the orientation is only one session. So we shall see all the mummies here who has kidz studying in P1 next year on that day ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing on the recess hour. So the kids will have half an hour of time to eat ? BTW, do you happen to know the school hour ? What time does lesson ends for P1 ?
