Hi Shalom,

I am pretty sure all girls schools have lesbian. As parents, we need to teach DD values and as for me I educate DD via Christian faith that this is not acceptable by church. It depends on who your DD mixes with. Hence, we need to know who are their friends and what do they talk about. I have seen friends' DD from that school who are materialistic and \"atas\". I don't hear much of the lesbian part but more of the materialistic part.

Call me crazy or whatever, I like their uniform :rotflmao: When DD & I started this DSA journey, distance was not our criteria but the school's infrastructure and uniform are part of the criteria.

:congrats:
Tks Lilo. You r right, I heard that a lot of rich child in SCGS. I really need to talk to her before she enter the school. Otherwise I will broke, if not argue with her all the times.

Thru email. DD applied thru academic.

But is SCGS a good school? Some people told me that is just normal school and a lesbian school. I very worried.

SCGS is a very good school. The programmes it has in place for its top classes are excellent. I have not heard much about lesbians in the school and anyway, if you ground your daughter right, why worry?

And I agree with Lilo about the school infrastructure and uniform. πŸ™‚ I like the uniform too. Practical and pretty. :)
Tks. Now feel more relax...so stress out last few months.

:congrats: to all who DD or DS got CO/WL.....

one more week, NGHS will release result. Let's pray hard πŸ™

:rotflmao: :rotflmao:
SCGS is a holistic school. Its girls are eloquent and poised. They generally speak good English and are sociable.
Lesbians... Well,so long as your kid doesn't turn out as one will do  ...we can't fend our teenage girls against lesbians, vulgarity etc etc... We just gotta teach them at home the correct values, read more newspaper articles on practical news to them, broach sensitive topics in subtle way and lastly.... πŸ™ πŸ™ .... πŸ˜‰

robertlee:
Hope all who have received or will be receiving COs from their dream school will release their other COs on hand.

You have been through the waiting stage, the anxious moments, the sleepless nights. You know the feeling first hand.

You have been blessed with multiple COs, do release the blessing to others who are still waiting, still anxious, still sleepless. Surely you and your child will be blessed even more when you bless others.
You will only know on PSLE results day. Officially all students put in their DSA Preference to MOE in the last week of October. Schools do not have provision for people who \"give up\" their CO. Administratively messy isn't it?

What VS is doing this year by asking for an additional \"acceptance\" is not generally practised.

My son is chosen for Victoria school through Sports DSA. I feel he can score 260+ in PSLE this year. This score is above the RI and other schools admission cut off.

He is interested in RI. Should we accept Victoria offer or wait for PSLE and apply again in RI.
My query is Once we wait for PSL than only schools will give admission based on academic results. What is the difference in sports DSA and Academic admission in secondary education.
Kindly suggest. Thank you for your suggestions

Phankao - I support VS way of doing. It gives a chance to those on WL - reduces the eagerness of waiting and not knowing what’s next. If one is keen with the school, decide and take it. If not, decline and give the chance to others. 2 weeks of deciding period is more than enough. VS has set a wonderful process for this year.
