ST 23/8 Teacher cuts pupil's hair, mum files police report

If the boy can quote his live example during the CL PSLE oral, he would have scored high marks  My son's oral was on 1st day...also on 校规...too happy to quote the ones he dislike, and the examiners were holding back their laughter.

My Ds said if the answers could make the invigilators laugh, then can score high marks
Is it true. Not sure who told him that in school :? -
There is really different values at work. Personally, I really don't mind if my child's teacher were to do that to him at the last minute because his hair was too long. I would have said \"obi quait\" to him. However, maybe it would have affected his confidence when he stepped into the exam hall. Maybe in the end he didn't do as good as he thought he would and that's where the finger starts to point?
Come to think of it, I'd probably be mad too, but not due to the $60 haircut. But then again, this is talking on hindsight, so , a good reminder for my kids and myself to ensure school rules are respected and followed, whenever it is.

It means he made an impact on the invigilators. So long as the invigilators were laughing WITH him and not laughing AT him.janet_lee88:

the boy will learn to be a bigger brat; and after grown up, become a liu mung
Most people seem to be supporting the parent. As parents, we can't protect our kids forever. One day, they'll grow up to face the law, not school rules and expect mummy to be behind them no matter what they chose to do. They'll grow up to lose their virginity as well. Is mummy going to be around to wear a protective gear for him to stop him getting someone's daughter into trouble? They have to learn how to protect themselves by being streetwise, the sooner the better. How long can we parents wrap the cotton around?
I'll recommend this alternate view which a friend sent over, which I agree with

the rule on hair lengthLOLMum:
What school rules did he break?
From picture, I see nothing wrong with fringe n side...so maybe the back?
Maybe moe do what the army is doing. All boys should have one type of hairstyle - botak - to avoid confusion. -

actually the parents ought to have ensured that \"all rules complied\" before any all important exams, be it personal grooming or any essential accessories for the examsThere is really different values at work. The sad thing is that what might evolve from this incident is that educators will be "too tired" or "too scared to care". Why go through the trouble to worry so much for other people’s kids? Damned if u do and damned if u don’t.
