Any comments about the new student care Happy Hearts right at the school itself? Run by the Anglican church. Is it good?

Happy heart student care is popular with the parents. Heard that they are currently full but they have opened 30 vacancies for the new P1 intake next year. Think they are popular because it is very convenient to leave the students in their care, parents don’t have to worry about ferrying their kids from one activities to another. Happy Hearts has very good relationship with the teachers. Children can receive seamless support from both the school and the centre. They have interesting activities for the children during the school holidays and they don’t charge extra for them. To be sure about the details, it is best to call the centre or walk in to have a look at the place. Hope this help.

            Hi Townville mommies/daddies! :rahrah:

My ds will be in P1 next year. Just received letter from school regarding the orientation on Nov 10. anyone else with ds/dd joining the school in 2013?

was wondering what we need to do during orientation..do we need to get the uniforms and the textbooks+exercise books on the day itself? is nets/credit card accepted for payment?

              Hi,

On the day, you will be able to buy textbook, uniform and made arrangement for the school transport if you intend for your child to go school by school bus. Please prepare for cash. For kids, they will be group to their respective class after the principal talk.

                Hi Monster Mummy,

Thanks for the prompt response and the helpful info!

How does your kid find the pace of TVPS? was told by a few neighbours some years back that they are pretty relaxed, so kids are happy in school cos they are relatively stress-free. wonder if it’s because their kids were still in lower pri then…

Yes, for lower primary the pace is quite relaxed and stress level should be low The child is happy but as they move on the level the % of homework increased proportionally and so far the school practice topic test after every topic. We will able to gauge whether they understand.

Hi, is the P1 session in the morning or afternoon? Is it fixed each year ie. P1 definitely in the am or pm?

The p1 session will still be pm session as understand the school is reducing the p1 intake so maybe in 2 years time it will become single session.
