Can someone teach me how to upload a picture to my post

Hi

If the question is from top school past years papers, you may just provide a link to the paper highlighting the question number of the particular question you wanted to ask.

The steps to insert an image

1) Do a print screen of the portion you want to upload.

2) Edit using Paint. Cut out the portion of the question you want to upload.

3) Save file in pictures

4) Go to Flickr (Free sign up as member) or other storage sites. Upload file. Select medium size. Right click to copy URL of image.

5) Coming back to Kiasuparents forum, click insert image button.

2. The nail is attracted to/by the magnet.

Since Substance d can compress,the volume of the substance d should be 700cm3.

Answer is 700cm3.... it's a relatively simple question but confusedly put across. Since it didn't mention is the 1 litre bottle capped, whether or not the last 100cm3 of the substance D is put in is not relevant at all.... the total volume of the bottle minus the substance B and marbles, the remaining space of 700cm3 is taken by the substance D.

Answer is 4.
Cos only the 2cm triangle where light is let through....thus picture 4 is the most probable...

note 1.: Cellophane has no material effect in this case, cos it's 5cm diameter hole accommodate the 2 cm Triangle within. So, ignore the confusing red cellophane.

note 2 : It does not matter which takes the front, Cellophane or aluminum. The aluminum would blocked the cellophane, either way.

Meilin wants to carry out a fair test to find out which type of soil, P, Q or R allows the most water to pass trhough.

The table below shows the results of her experiments.

(c) Based on the data in the result table, which type of soil is most suitable for a plant that grows well in a dry and sandy habitat? Give a reason, for your answer.

Answer provided is : Sample Q. It allows the most water to flow through in the given time and means that it does not retain water well and hence is best for plants that grow well in a dry habitate which do not need a lot of water.



However, my child said he that he is going crazy now as previously he did a similar question which a different answer. Thus, he is very confused now but can't find the previous question that he did. Anyway, the previous answer was something like the following:

Sample P. It does not allow a lot of water to pass through, so the plant can take in the water quickly.

Please help urgently as prelim is tomorrow.

If it is a dry and sandy habitat, then water can easily pass through. So the answer P and the reasoning you gave above is not correct. Therefore, answer should be Q as water can easily flow through the soil medium.
