        Applied for this school

heard that the papers they provide are challenging and somehow most of the students can handle them well.. but i've a good tutor that helps my child to cope well. It's a bonus! If you want tutor's contact, let me know. I can help you! [email protected]

        Thanks

He's doing fine there, thanks for asking.

Today got practise CW, or rather I should say, today got practise memorising model answer. Muahaha! I know some people are dead against it [this memorising thingy] bcos it stifles creativity. But then, these people most likely have kids who are already profound in the language and can write poetry out of their bare hand and a pen. For the rest of the potato kids like my son, they've to start from somewhere rite. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've witnessed PH's requirement for P3 CW. :yikes: I don't think his current standard can get even 8/15. ๐Ÿ˜“ By next year, mabbe I'll join the crowd and whine about ... the demoralising high standard. You all not allowed to say 'I told you so' hor. ๐Ÿ˜†

It's only HCL & Math that are the killers rite? So far I haven't heard anyone complain about Eng or Sci standard (yet).

              Hi Jennifer

I read in earlier post (back in 2010) that you were contemplating to send your elder boy to Perceptum. Did you finally signed him on? If yes, do you mind sharing your feedback to me? You can PM me. Thanks.

Wapiang ur dd's sch is the top of the top liao still got 50% failure. :faint: So PH is preparing our kids for the top schools early? :rahrah:

Actually when one look beyond the marks, the msg being delivered is that the answers/essays are not good enough and can be improved further (this theory some saintly parent taught me one). But it's never easy to look beyond the grades in a generally goal-oriented society like ours.

Itโ€™s possible to have failures even in top schools. English is no longer a walk in the park from Sec 1. Understand there is a change of syllabus. Literature is tough.

For the recent PSLE CL oral, the conversation topic was different from the picture discussion which was ๆ ก่ง„. Previously, the picture discussion and conversation is around the same โ€˜themeโ€™โ€ฆfor eg if pic is on MRT, the conversation would be something related.

We signed up for one term in Perceptum. The class size was very large. My boy did not understand some of the problem sums solutions after each lesson. We stopped after term 1 ended.

We then signed up at Maths Hub @ Beauty World when it first opened the centre. The time slot had only my boy attending.

Did not continue this year as (1) I felt the centre was teaching in advance and (2) I thought it was not necessary to hv Maths outsourced since my boy has the HOD as his Maths teacher.
