we're really hoping to get in to LPS. DD already liked it there when we had a school visit. and a lot of her friends (from pre-school and other Filipino friends) are already there. it's also the closest to our house that still have vacancy.

Yes, very glad and happy that both you and yr DD like the school. It is a good start, for a child to like the school she's going to. Loyang should have enough vacancies to enter, not to worry.

they have enough vacancy. but i hope there won't be too many foreigners registering there this year. not all of the 32 slots can be allocated for us. my friend said last year there was balloting because only 15 vacancies for foreigners.

Only 15 vacancies were left last year because the school was only left with this number of vacancies at Ph 3, right?

So, if the school has 32 places this year and all SCs and PRs have already registered, it means all 32 places will be given to foreigners.

im not really sure about this... when we attended the school visit/tour in LPS, the principal said not all their vacancies can be allocated for foreigners. MOE only allots a certain number per school for foreigners...

thank you to all your positive thoughts. we were able to get in LPS. my daughter is very happy.

now, time to prepare for Primary School. starting with waking up early. LOL

Can we still withdraw our registration tomorrow to transfer to another school nearer our place? Thought there would be balloting but turned out there are still slots left.
