BOOK Fairs

hquek:

Saw quite many little men and little miss titles. Dr Seuss readers (NOT learning library). A to Z mystery. Charlie small. Magic treehouse. Good choice for intermediate readers

Yes yes!!

Geromino Stilton, the whole series of A Series of Unfortunate Events, Sesame Street, Thomas the Train, Winnie the Pooh, the odd Richard Scarry etc ...

Cook books were a good deal.

For children's books, e promo is $3/bk for US$3.99 and below category.. $5/bk for US$4.99-US$6 category (or $20 for 5 books)....etc. It is same as the last MPH bookfair promo.

The queue was very long when i was there... consistently more than 100 pax in the Q and they only hv 4 cashiers...I waited at least 45mins...
Selection wise, i find more chapter books than picture books (for preschoolers).
And like what hquek mentioned, mostly fictional books, hardly see any non-fictional ones except the usual Usborne series.

Yup, agree :hi5:
The bookfair will only start at 3pm. So far, past sales have been quite alright but it depends on what you want to get. MPH is better for fiction titles.

There is MPH bookfair!!!

I will be at bedok area. Will drop by in a while.

I have to stop buying more books - running out of space to \"hide\" them  ! Will go nag DD to let go more of her series :slapshead: so that can find shelf space  !
June don't hv meh? I thought they had a month long store wide discount 20%? I remembered how my child and me would send the entire weekend afternoons straight for a month in popular book shops choosing the books and queuing to pay...

Oh, I'm referring to the 20% discount coupon cut out from their bi-monthly magazine. It gives discount to other stuff (with conditions and exceptions attached) besides books.
