Actually some of the most meaningful gifts from my students are the inexpensive ones. I told them if they really want to give something to me, spend some time sitting down and writing a really sincere note to me. If they really, really need to go into a shop to get something for me, then just get me a red pen or a marker or marker refill will do.

I told this to my P6 class last year and they remembered. This year when they came back to visit me, most of them wrote cards with red pens attached to it. The message was so sincere and touching that I teared while reading some of them.

Those cards are now displayed at my workplace and will continue to serve as my motivation to educate the future generation for many years to come. It cost almost nothing but to me, is the greatest gift of all šŸ™‚

      :salute:

You mean you don't use the red pens????
Of course I do. Only the cards are displayed šŸ˜„

But in terms of 'corporate practice', I think it crosses the line of propriety. The schools should police this, in my view.

4D? I can queue. There's a Singapore Fools outlet near my place.

PS: To explain the origin of Singapore Fools..A friend's young child was learning to read signs when he came across the word Pools. But somehow read it as Fools and we had a good laugh over it. Cute  !
