Wake me up when the verdict is out...

Time to wake up, Daddy D!
not so much to know the final verdict outcome of Kong Hee.
whether or not he goes jail - the issue doesn't end there.
But something far more grave, much more serious !
It is the growing, wide spread powerful wings of sphere of influence(s) from big, mega churches like CHC - penetrating into our school compound. They have infiltrated everywhere. Beginning from Primary schools all the way up to Secondary schools, Polytechnic(s), Junior College(s), Universities, that has begun to directly impact the lives of many children in schools. This is of utmost grave concern & worry to us, as parents.

In the market place right now - it has given birth to this religious theocracy where mega churches target to dominate into these 7 Kingdoms of most powerful Sphere of influence(s). This Domination theology, called the 7 Kingdoms Theology is a hot topic of discussion, the underlying factor behind Festival of Praise, Love Singapore movement (chaired by Lawrence Kong), etc. City Harvest church is the main sponsor, behind this Festival of Praise.

What are these 7 Kingdoms of strong, powerful Sphere of influence(s) ?
          They target :-

          1. Government / Politics
          2. Business / Economics
          3. Education

          4. Arts
          5. Religion
          6. Media / Entertainment and

ALL Parents, be Alert ! Do not lose your precious child.

We are living in a fallen world! Today, we woke up with a rude shock and began to witness - strong, powerful roots of influence(s) entrenched into 3 Key, major Kingdom that are directly impacting / affecting our daily lives as parents. These three great Sphere of influence(s) of concern closest & dearest to our heart(s) are none other than -
Education, Family + a very bold attempt trying hard to introduce Prosperity gospel (dwell on human greed) by CHC Youth leaders - they target recruiting young, highly impressionable kids from schools compound into City Harvest church, groom them up to become the next future generation ....

Concerned Indian parent wrote to Mr. Heng Swee Kiat on CHC’s proselytizing activities in Singapore schools :-

refering to quote in this article, from this parent :-

“ He urged Mr Heng to take ‘decisive action’ against City Harvest Church.
I hope you and others in a position to do so, act to stamp out this unwarranted influencing of children and young persons by mega churches (and indeed by other religious organisations).

          Please do not ignore this.
CHC claims to have penetrated 70% of schools in Singapore. I think it’s about time your Ministry acted decisively on this. \"

\"The blog post features a video of a youth leader at CHC explaining the church's strategy. According to the youth leader, CHC's religious groups have been doing this for 10 years and have penetrated 70% of schools in Singapore, despite knowing that they are not allowed to operate in schools.

At 10:30 in the video, he proudly declares: \"So as you can see, most of my leaders, full time staff, worshippee [sic], they all came from the school revival. If you reach the school, you can build a church.\"

In the video, he said that poor children should be encouraged to make sacrifices to give.
He told the story of one child in his church who woke up very early morning at 5am to make food to sell to her friends in school, so that she can give money to his organisation's building fund .

You should watch the first few minutes of the video featured on the blog.
While the blog post focuses on CHC, I don't know whether it is safe to conclude it is the only mega church to engage in such practices. \"

Looks like soon, one day, we are going to see on the news that a parent has taken up court order against another child in school preventing him from from preaching to the son....

Just kidding... Technically, I don't what the government can do about this...

Target young children so that when they grow up, they have many years to contribute to the church's coffers and enrich \"you know who\"........simple as that! It is not all about religion, but rather twisted religious activity with ulterior motives that is clear to all to see. Except for the brainwashed of course.

But if our kids can be brainwashed so easily, then we must really look at what we are teaching, or rather, have not been teaching them.

It doesn’t matter if it chc, or some time share package, or mlm, or even a street corner con man…if our kids lack the ability to discern then no amount of policing can help us.

It is very easy to say this. But do you know that peer pressure can be very powerful ?

You may put all your heart, your effort, your soul into raising and grooming your child up, for the next 20 years since a baby born. You may toil day and night to your bones and knuckle - trying to give him the best education out of love for your child, as a father. Yes, you can do everything you can for him.

But this external force completely beyond your control called peer group pressure is very.... powerful. I do not hope to see any tearful parent faced by his child one day telling his parents straight in the face:-

\"Dad/ Mum, you are outdated. You don't belong to our modern day generation, today. Dad, you have grown old. See ! your white hair coming out. You've been out of touch so long ! You belong to the dinosaur old age. Many things you don't understand what we youth do nowadays. You just have no idea ! Besides, you can't control me anymore. I am big already ! I have my own social circle of friends. I choose who i like to befriend with. You don't restrict me; I don't allow you to control me. I have my own life to live. In fact, i know so and so ... \"

when a child say this type of thing to a parent who had done his dutiful role as a parent all these years, the words spoken are like a .... knife plunging into his heart, bleed him, cut him, wound him. The father may not cry outwardly. But in his heart, tears just flow.

                    Absolutely concur.

But it is easier said than done, especially when the kids grow up, they will spend more time outside than at home with parents.

And these churches know and that is why we are seeing such covert activities. It sneaks up on you and by the time you realise, it may be too late.

And I guess how religions work well with us humans in general is their ability to remove our pains and give pleasure. Consider how people tend to turn to religion at the lowest points in their life; the support given by fellow members help alleviate pain. The singing, praising, and praying thereafter give a sort of pleasure.

If we are not the ones doing the pain removal, or being available to our children at the very moment that they need help, and we give this opportunity to someone/something else instead, that someone/something else will definitely win a part of our children's heart over.
