It’s going to take time so let’s hope everyone can find some patience to see this through and just bear with the system in the meantime.

The decision is to increase parents' confidence in all primary schools.

The ministry are advocating all schools are good by allocating adequate resources. :celebrate: Personally I think that is the way to go.

I know for a fact they do. In addition, I was told by someone not from MOE that a daily report is generated to summarise views here. This news is so heartening, together with the news about stellar in Upper Primary... it does show some cognizance of issues on the ground... not denial... a gentle promise to fix things. Thank you MOE. I am grateful.

For most of us who complained, we knew that fixes will come too late for our kids. I am happy as long as the grandkids inherit a better system... less elitist... less judgmental... more forgiving of poor results at a single IQ test. Mainstream deserves a decent education too... and it should be decent for everyone, not just lucky ones in good schools. I have time to be patient. My timeframe is the grandkids. Those with kids in lower primary usually don't complain.

Now... they may not have to.

:thankyou: MOE for not denying there is a problem with quality in schools. With so much intellect inside MOE.. I am sure that solutions will be found. As long as there is no denial, I am confident that brains in MOE can help us. Happy! Happy! Happy!

I doubt so. They are doing practically nothing. What we get now is lip service only.. doesn't reflect any listening on their part..

Guess the traffic condition is not gonna get better.....

:snuggles: They are doing something. I know they are doing something. Coming from me (a very loud and persistent critic of MOE) people should know it is not BLIND faith nor BLIND trust. I am absolutely sure that real initiatives to improve teaching quality are in the pipeline. Amongst other things, I did speak with an HOD from DS' school... a national sharing database for Teachers is being discussed.

Let's just work together with our MOE since it has shown that it is no longer deluded... and it does care. Changes take time but in MOE, they have good brains and are very determined. They have only to decide that something needs to be done. I do truly believe, FOR THE MOMENT, that things begin to move.
