[Bedok/Katong/Marine Parade/Siglap] Preschools
-
I guess I should put my two cents worth. My daughter has been with the same pre-school, Great Beginnings Montessori Pre-school since she was 2.5 years. She’s in K2 now. She’s been with the same teachers, staff and has grown up with the same friends since. I like the stability in that.
I’ve only good things to say about the school. Having said that everyone has different expectations.
1. The directresses always communicate what’s happening at school on email and letters my child brings home. I don’t need to chase for info.
2. My child has been well looked after and I’m satisfied with her progress and independence.
3. I like their practice of discipline and independence in a warm, family-like environment.
4. My daughter comes home happy all these years, which I think says it all.
It’s run by two lovely ladies. It used to be behind Siglap Centre but moved to Joo Chiat Road last year. It’s worth checking out if you’re looking at a Montessori pre-school. -

Hi I like the school environment at Katong MMI..it's an annex block so away from the main shopping area itself. The school has recently acquired another floor to better the individualised attention to the different classes; nursery, K1, K2.
Parking is easy as I normally drive to the roof-top level and there is a path to the inside of the school through that...in that way u can just stop there morning or evening and just fetch/bring your child in..
Hope it helps:)
Hi
how about the MMI Katong Centre curriculum? I still prefer my boy to be in a church kindy. but next yr I have no choice may have to go office half a day so I may have to shift his K1 studies to somewhere near me.
I visited the school, looks good and clean.
So not sure how the teachers are like there, the curriculum and turn over.
Thanks -
I like the teachers there…they are really on the ball - each and every of my feedback, note and comment gets acted upon the very next next day (if not on that day itself)…the best part is that each teacher gives such good individualised attention that a church kindy can’t beat - I know cos my son goes to church kindy.
The curriculum is good - they have character building lessons - my son has been singing the song Never give up, Compassion etc etc. They also have general knowledge lessons which I think are very good.
You may want to visit the school - the Principal/Supervisor (Teacher Mei) is very accomodating and will be answer your questions:) -
I have been looking for Preschools in Bedok Area.
Any good preschools to recommend? Thanks. -
Hi, anybody send their child to little big and any feedbacks on the program’s and teachers so far? Thanks!

My son has been attending Children's Vineyard Kindergarten since July this year. I transferred him from an expensive franchised child care because I didn't see any progress in the first half of the year in N2 and that was getting me worried. He couldn't recognise many letters and wasn't interested in learning. He was also starting to dislike going to school.
Since attending Children's Vineyard, he has improved tremendously. Within the first 2 weeks of attending the school he learnt most of the alphabet and each of their sounds and as of today he's blending words, reading and spelling. He is also able to concentrate better and he can speak in basic mandarin and sing full mandarin songs. They are a Montessori-based kindergarten.
But what I like most about the school is the dedication of the teachers (led by Judy Yap and her team) and the culture they instill in the children. They really care about the children and the environment of love allows the children to thrive. They teach respect and consideration for each other and the children really get along well.
I would like to recommend the school for anyone in the east who is looking for a good kindergarten.
It is located at Charis Methodist Church, 91 Koon Seng Road. Do call and speak to Judy about the school. The number is 64408813. She's really lovely and will share her vision for the school. Better still, go down and have a look before the term ends. That's what I did when I was sourcing for a school. I went down and observed the kids and I really liked what I saw. -
Hi all,
I understand that Kids N Kids has moved out of the college (Telok Kurau).
Does anyone know if they are still operational?
If yes, would really appreciate if you could advise where they have moved to and also their contact numbers?
Thank you in advance! -
