The sound goes TOK..tok..tok..tok...just like a marble bouncing a few times before coming to rest. Does any of what you mentioned sound like that??
😆 I must commend you on your visual expression of the sound effect.

                      Laura02:
I always feel the spooky feeling when I walk along the changi broad walk in front of the old government chalets. Perhaps it's an overactive imagination, but I when I see the adventitious roots hanging down from the old trees by the shore, I can almost catch the faint outline of human bodies hanging down from them too.

Taxi driver swears that changi holiday chalet A is haunted. And, of course, the old Changi hospital ...
Personally never encountered any spooks, but I always start chanting Buddhist mantras when I feel anything. My mother and MIL swear that they have personally seen \"dirty things\". SIL swears that MIL has had episodes when the spirit entered her body .... But my father thinks that they just say that to avoid certain places.
But ... it might be fun to go goul hunting. Anyone for a Halloween party at the old Changi Hospital?
There's a group who call themselves Singapore Paranormal Investigators
dat u can join for ghost hunting.
Changi beach is rumoured to be haunted.
Executions were carried out on dat beach in WW2.

Now d stretch of road fr Changi Village leading up to d beach
r populated with ghouls of another kind, if u know wat I mean.

If you have read stories by those who can see 'ghosts', you'll either become less afraid or more afraid of death and ghosts. It is said that spirits who have not gone 'into the light' when they die goes around believing they are still alive - reminds you of 6th sense doesn't it? Some however, may know they are dead, but they are lost, cos once they missed that 'light' upon their death, they will need to go looking for it if, (probably at others' funerals), but most do not realize this.

So essentially, it is not surprising if you hear strange noises around you, or find yourself becoming suddenly agitated easily or lost control, because it is possible that other 'spirits' may be trying to control you

However, one consolation, according to this writer who can see the other world, is that those 'lost souls' often appear alone, not in groups, and they will appear where there are more people around as they thrive with the living's negative energy. So if you are alone, just be calm and serene and no 'ghosts' will be tempted to go near you - because you will have nothing they need.

                        Nice story?
