        Hi, shebeauty,

Do you mean ex sin in indo n coming bk again?
Yes, via agent they need to attend 100 hours lesson in indo.
If direct hiring, emm i asked agent, not sure!
Even they know i dun think they will teach me… Haha

Or you are refering to indo maid in Sin who will continue service. I think 2 areas need to take note.
I guess if they dun hv KtNkn card (indo identity card) n if they plan to go bk indo for holiday, will they need indo embassy letter? Last time, my maid dun need. She get a letter from local village head letter. Better check on this area

2nd, indo maid Passport renewal at embassy. Since few years ago, they hv enforced employer to sign contract on the spot with helper. Do take note the min salary is $450 per month. Currently still can indicate no off day.

No, the new rules only come into effect for contracts signed after Jan 1st 2013. She should have been aware of the changes when she agreed to the $500 and 2 off days so you are not obliged to increase.

Current indo maid min pay is $450 n not request for off day.

Yr pay is more than current min pay.

Only new contract signed next year need weekly off day.
Again whether our maid with old contract will ask for it..
Haha it another headache creacted for us!! :heresmyfish:

Haiz, me too having the same dilemma whether to get a new maid or becoming full time housewife. The amount of money spend is not worth since we a dealing with human-being. The maid may not suit us and end of the day, we will suffer the most while agency getting more richer.

Since you have a choice might as well do without a maid. At least no need to suffer mental headaches while still paying high salary. My blood level shoot up with my previous maid. Its not worth it!! My neighbour who is a granny lives with her son and daughter in law. Maid treated the granny terribly when the couple is out working. When the couple is back home, maid suddenly becomes super maid. As a result, couple don't believe granny's words. For me I would rather believe my own family member than a maid.

Family member will still be there when you face problem but when you don't put money on the table the maid will be the first to go.

I cannot wait for the day when I can do without a maid!!!

I have your neighbour's problem too . My mum kept complaining to me ut when I'm bk she is ok . At first I thought may be communication so I don't believe what my mum says .a few argument between my mum were due to my maid .
I was in a situation to change or not !!!!

Think back u are right , no matter what I should believe my family .
We decided to change a new maid . Hopefully better , if not I will go w/o maid

Years ago, someone's maid was abusing old lady, locked her in her room when the family's out- while she herself would go out.
A neighbour informed the family of what was going on. The maid was sacked.

Someone's tenant's maid brought her bf into the house when the tenant (ang mo) was overseas on holiday. Neighbour's maid informed the landlord's maid, landlord informed the tenant.

We employers can help each other like this.
