I also put your answer which was option 3 I believe. Quite a number of my friends also put the same answer. This is balu_priya's DD.
What are your answers for MT LC question two? ( The one about the main aim of the run) Mine was to inform everyone that running helps children to be happy. I almost put the everyone should be happy option, but the passage said that it would help children NOT all to be happy.
The last sentence of the text was something like:希望大家都会感受到跑步的乐趣。This is actually quite similar to option (1). If it is just to inform, poster or advert would definitely be sufficient.

There are many such runs in SG. They conduct these to educate the public on such things as mentioned in option 3 as well as in the passage. They don't very often just place posters. They do more than that.

I hope u do not mind me saying. However, as the name suggests, LC requires one to listen and ans the qns based on context. If its all about general knowledge, what's the point behind letting us listen to the CD? Anyway, they did not mention 教育或体验 in option 3, instead they mention "告诉"

Hi mamago,mamago:
Hi
Dd said that OAS paper was not eraser friendly unlike the ones used in school. Need to rub very hard till background pink color had faded.
Any dc share the same frustration?
Hi, GLORYmum.
Try the STABILO Legacy (art no. 1186). This eraser is by far the best, very soft rubber, less abrasive, can even erase the 5B lead thoroughly.... DS used it for his LC correction today... No problem about fading pink background print...
(but the only problem is, it generate lots of eraser dust...)
Thanks for info. I wonder if 1186 the same as 1196, just that the 1186 is smaller. Dd has stabilo 1196, it's black exam eraser...is your 1186 the same?
Hi, CDE.
DS use the 1186, white one.... not sure about the black one leh...
Btw, bad news, Popular Bookshop at Bukit Timah Plaza does not carry Stabilo eraser, and they are not sure the other Popular outlets have it .... I was there trying to buy a few more in case DS lost his.... so disappointed. :frustrated:
Can anyone share here if you manage to find STABILO eraser at other outlets?
Thank you. -

Anyway, they did not mention 教育或体验 in option 3, instead they mention "告诉"
It's not just about general knowledge. 听力 also requires you to fully digest the entire story and understand the meaning behind it eg. the last text for the Chinese LC. I chose option 3 based on what i understood from the passage as well as general knowledge and logical thinking.

Option 3 is the main aim for making the announcement, not for organising the run

However, the announcement was made right before the run. It was part of the event. -
